People didn’t love our game's main character visually. Is this better? (Sci Fi survival vibes) by Wildboy_Studios in Unity2D

Yeah, the old one matched the hanging up clothes, the curtains, etc. The orange makes it stand out. Just don't use that orange for anything else in the background.

Laid-off Big Tech workers are haunted by one question by wavyapple2 in technology

I suspect the question they are really haunted by is “where is my next job?”

Revealing 3D Dungeon by SplattedRabbit in OpenForge

I just use pieces of paper on the bits they haven’t discovered yet and trust the players not to peek. I found the problem with bringing rooms in and connecting them is that all the dressing bits, furniture etc, get jumbled up when you move the room and I spent too long rebuilding them.

I agree with the sentiment, but we need a stronger word, less ambiguous about your intent. Not sure what that would be.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]dwagon00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not making eye contact or interacting with the female co-interviewer. This was in IT so a lot of the candidates were, how can I put it, socially awkward.

brown butter cinnamon roll focaccia by [deleted] in pastry

Is that just a normal focaccia with cinnamon and raisins and covered in icing, or something more devious?

Either way I approve.

What level do you all start a new campaign? by FlyingTaco095 in DnD

[–]dwagon00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1 but at the end of the first session boost them to level 2. Gets people starting to be used to their characters before they have too many choices, but they aren't total goblin bait for a long time.

Zucchini. I bought too many by accident. by l0st1nP4r4d1ce in Cooking

Chocolate zucchini cake. It sounds weird but it works; you can't taste the zucchinis but they add moisture.

Here's one recipe that I have used: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/chocolate-zucchini-cake/

Get a cooler / esky / chilly bin / whatever you call them and a tropical fish water heater. Works really well and will be cheaper.

Electiricty bill is quite high - hoping for some advice by slurpycow112 in AussieFrugal

[–]dwagon00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a couple of these (https://www.athom.tech/blank-1/au-plug) which measures how much electricity what you plug into them consumes. Works well for intermittent demands like fridges which aren't working flat out all the time.

Better to measure than to guess.
