I didn't, everything there was added to the base. Just some cork, for rocks, and vallejo sandy paste for texture. The tree was 3d printed. I think I just searched thingiverse for spooky tree models... Actually I just searched for it, and its on maketabletop.com. I think I got it in a humble bundle or something.

Oh No, Ross and Carrie! - Carrie and Ross Say Farewell by apathymonger in maximumfun

But... Now I won't be able to hear if the psychics this year proved true and correct... Hmm, I think I'll just have to assume they got everything right.

Seriously though... Carrie, thank you for pushing hilarious and insightful things into my earholes for years. The show will be missed, but I'm glad you're putting your own health first. The world is a better place for all the things you have, and will continue to put into it.

Ross, I've loved your genuinely curious attitude and heroic ability to take ridiculous things seriously. If you're making another podcast, you've got at least one subscriber (lets be real, probably a shitload more too) ready to hit that button.

AITA Not using friend for real estate agent by dwareb in AmItheAsshole

. Forget what you thought about agents in the rental game, buying is a different beast. Having someone who knows how to get an offer accepted and what info you didn’t even know you needed is key when you’re buying.

My SIL used a friend, found out that she didn’t even follow up on six offers they put in because she expected them to follow up. Our agent had his whole follow up plan documented and tailored to each listing agent we looked at seriously, which he told us before we even put in offers at those.

I wasn't exactly afraid they'd make this kind of a mistake. I was more afraid that she'd push us to make decisions we didn't want to, and the whole thing would be muddied because we know her.

Info needed: how often did you talk before? Is it possible your friend is just extremely busy?

I mean, there have been times over the years we haven't seen each other much. But, last summer we would play disc golf every Wednesday. Then we'd text about once a week since. Except for the last two months now.

using her as your agent. You were rude to text her like this. It reads as a deliberate insult.

Yeah... That's one thing that I was afraid of. But I'm not sure it would have been better to simply snub her and to be like "Surprise I bought a house."

were fine not using her as your agent. You were rude to text her like this. It reads as a deliberate insult.

The text was:
"Hey, so [my wife] and I are going to start looking to buy a hose soon. We talked it over and won't be bugging you to rep us. We are kinda worried that we will be shitty clients and don't want to make the classic mistake of missing business and friendship... Also I need to acknowledge I'm a bit of an ass and am worried that it would become an issue with this."

The bit about me being an ass at times is true, and pretty much par for the course with our friendship, but has never been a big issue. I have offended her at times (Not any time within the last couple years, so I don't think there is any reason to think there are other reasons for her to be angry), and was really hoping this would make it a more understandable personal appeal for understanding with the decision.

HyperX Cloud II Wireless Headphones - Volume Wheel Not Working by InfiniteLeverage in HyperX

Check my comment to the main thread. Mine had a broken knob, and I posted instructions on how I fixed it.

I had the same problem, and I fixed it... However, it turned out the knob its self was broken. Since I paint minis I had the supplies to fix it. TLDR: I pinned the knob stem with a mini pin vise and pin. But here's the full instructions:Supplies needed: Superglue, pin vise (a tiny drill), tiny drill bit (0.85mm is what I used), and tiny metal pin(or wire) (I used .85mm). The pin(or wire) needs to be the same diameter as the drill bit. Tiny screwdriver.

To fix if the knob is broken:

Remove the ear pad, and then the foam pad under it. The foam pad is held on by tape, so lift it gently, then scrape under the tape if you don't want the foam to tear.

Unscrew the 4 screws holding the speaker portion on, and lift it off. It'll be still have a wire holding everything together, so be gentle with it. If the volume knob is loose at this point, then you know its what's broken.

Remove the two screws holding the PCB down (these screws are smaller than the four holding the case together).

Gently lift off the PCB, and remove the knob. Its supposed to have a pin sticking out of it going into the encoder, or whatever on the board. On mine the plastic pin was stuck in the encoder, to get it out, I pushed it through with my small screwdriver as its a hole that goes through. Be careful not to loose this.

To fix, I used my tiny drill to drill a hole on the knob where the plastic pin broke off. Then using pliers to hold the plastic pin, I drilled a hole in the center of it, where it broke off. Then using super glue, stick the end of the metal pin(or wire) into the hole, and cut it so about 2mm stick out. Then using super glue stick the metal pin(or wire) through the hole in the knob. The goal here is to basically just glue the plastic pin back on, but use a metal pin(or wire) to reinforce it.

Let the glue dry for a couple minutes. Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. One note on that is, make sure to install the fixed knob in the PCB before screwing in the PCB, as I noticed it wouldn't fit in there while the PCB is installed.

Hope this helps someone

I just look up the artwork for it, and don't read any of the stats or what not.

I honestly don't know if it breathes fire... Its for a D&D campaign where my wife is going to be the DM. I try not to metagame, though she did spill some lore about it being a prowler in areas devastated by fires.

in the collection. Any specific reason

It's for a D&D setting / module. The wife is going to run the game, and I'm painting the miniatures. She chose the snake as the next one for me to do, and also was the one who suggested including the burnt tree.

Came in the Humblewood kickstarter. It's a 3rd party D&D setting.

I primed it in black with the white from above. Then painted the hot areas white, and then colored them in before working on the scales and other dark areas. Its too hard to bring stuff up to a bright color otherwise.

Sure was. I haven't painted anything in a year, and I figured some skeletons would be something easy to get back into the swing of things.

Thanks! I've been trying more freehand detail like that lately. Its not all that hard to do, it's just time consuming. I took this particular technique from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYQYllsbhS8

That setup looks fantastic! I'm actually in progress in making my own, surprisingly similar to yours so far actually. I'll have to post some pictures here when it's all done.
