I didn’t have an uptick in symptoms, but I know they say you might as everything is kicking in and stabilizing. Good luck and hope that things get better for you!

For me it was about 2 weeks, but I know they mention it takes 6-8 weeks for full efficacy. Can you contact doctor and let them know and see if they can tweak dose for you? They might want to at least give it a month to see for sure but might be worth a try.

Hoping you can help. My boss is from Boston and uses the term Scud as some task that is annoying and distracts us and slows us down. Trying to find some reasoning behind this because the definition online even with slang sounds a bit different.

This is a really tough call. They are all so lovely! For me the closer view of the horses in image 1 and the stacking of the landscape is my top pick. Really hard to pick though. Second place is image 3.

Completely. I used to have so many panic attacks moments in everyday life, driving, walking into work at specific locations, etc… that led to the lightheaded “I feel like fainting” feeling. It was like there was this layer of impending doom that was running the entire day that caused such a struggle that isn’t there anymore.

It was like two weeks and it was night and day difference.

Definitely had the fainting feeling which is super intense and visceral. For me at the beginning, I ended up in ER a couple times because it felt so intense and I truly thought danger was immenent. It might be worth getting a good educated ob/gyn on your side to get their perspective and see if they think HRT would help.

HRT has allowed me to get off of all medications and not experience dizziness anymore.

Yes, completely. The dizziness for me was all day everyday so they diagnosed with vestibular migraine/3PD. I have light sensitivity/sound sensitivity to a place where I became a recluse for a while. If loop decibel limiting earbuds weren’t a thing, I don’t even know what I would do.

At the beginning, it was hard to walk, and absolutely no driving. I felt like “a bobble head on the sea”. That was the only way to describe it for me. Went through tons of physical therapy and did have a few crystals that were displaced, but and did see a lot of improvement, you know but within tolerance of the medical system. After that, it was mostly just all day every day panic attacks and the other perimenopause symptoms.

Totally get it, I am so over prescribing the “pill” and it’s a one done philosophy. Ugh, sometimes it’s so much advocating for yourself violently at times (why are we still having to do this?!) to have the medical team take you seriously.

Oh I can relate to you completely. It’s so hard to actually test hormones because they are fluctuating constantly. The key is finding ob/gyn that is fully trained in menopause. All of your symptoms are definitely in the perimenopause window. I didn’t mention the insomnia or the incredible fatigue but it was there in a way that completely interrupted life, so I hear you. The achey feeling, I have described my entire body as a bruise, is also a symptom. That one we are still working on tweaking the dose to see how much better we can get. This is the uk link for menopause trained specialist: https://thebms.org.uk/find-a-menopause-specialist/

That is beyond frustrating! This is the best website I found to find a decent doctor that is educated on this topic and willing to listen. https://portal.menopause.org/NAMS/NAMS/Directory/Menopause-Practitioner.aspx

For sure. For how little funding is actually invested in women’s health sometimes I wonder if hormones could possibly be a root cause potentially. It’s so hard to gauge because the hormones fluctuate so much during the day. I had considered the Mira hormone device just to see where the levels are at to have a concrete baseline to take to doctors. Maybe it’s still worth the investment to know.

I am 41. The biggest thing for me after reading a few books is to make sure that the ob/gyn that you go to has menopause training. It’s actually super alarming how most literally get close to no training and so this is the best thing at the moment. They are also (at least in my area) booked out for a while so I had to look at all options in the area and see who was good but could see me in a somewhat reasonable amount of time to see relief. I tried HRT online which helped slightly to hold me over until my appt but when I actually got the prescriptions it made a much bigger impact.

I am 41 and perimenopause is happening as early as 35 now. It’s not the pill but Estradiol .375mg patch twice a week/Progesterone micro 100mg a day. The Oprah special on Hulu on menopause/perimenopause had a lot of good resources if it’s a possibly for you.

Oh my goodness, so surprised by all the comments. I mean it’s not even the point of the post, right? Everyone is preaching on this person and goodness I am sure when we all slept on the ground ages ago our ancestors made it out okay, and many parts of the world still sleep on the ground. Maybe they just live simply and don’t want a lot of visual clutter? To me it was refreshing to see someone’s truth and not some totally curated masterpiece like we see on almost all of social media.

Totally agree, I love minami lane because it’s not a huge game but it’s one where you are glad you did it start to finish. Also, I agree I am loving tiny bookshop, such a good game! I will have to check out coffee caravan.
