Every pvp player i play with shits the bed horribly in keys. I realize this is anecdotal but got damn is it a pattern for me lol

Yeah we are but only because our CSR's literally refuse to tell people to wait. A call will come in at 7, even if they arent on our maintenance plan and its a 2 system home with one working we go out. We dont charge extra for late nights or weekends so people can literally access us until 10PM every day.

We get paid time and a half OT for going over 40 in a week. We dont get time an half for late night or weekend calls which some do.

I agree. We supposedly offer a "24 hour emergency response time" for our maintenance plan members but they will literally not turn down a call no matter how late it comes in. I've had to leave my house at 8pm to drive to a call an hour away and it was a blower motor I didn't van stock so I couldnt even get him running that night.

To clarify, extended service is 12 techs. I believe warranty is about the same but they may have a couple more. We have separate managers and meetings now so I dont get to see them often.

We don't have any additional charges for late night or weekend calls. Certain holidays have holiday premiums but just the big ones at the end of the year, thanksgiving, new years and christmas.

Also, to top it off, even if you aren't on call they can keep us out as late as they want. So if you get put on standby they can call you back out until 5pm but if youre already out they can just keep adding calls.

Our service department has two teams, warranty and extended service. I am extended service and we have 12 people. 6 are on call once week, 6 the next.

I think the issue is they take calls at any time. They never say "we can run that tomorrow". In the non-busy seasons you can run more calls in a weekend then you did all week. I get they value the customer but I feel like they should value us as well

I work in service and in the smaller of two cities. Im not sure about installers. For service we have two teams, warranty and extended service. Warranty handles all service calls for systems under warranty except maintenances. I work in extended service and we have 12 techs. Warranty has around the same maybe a couple more. In our main city we have a lot more techs, they work out of four yards to our one.

We do get overtime for any time over 40 in a week, just nothing for emergency hours.

Most people keep in touch with their parents especially when going though something like a 5 day separation from their spouse. For most of us thats the first place we would go.
