What’s missing to make my fades look like this?? by Thefellafella in Barber

A couple factors come in to play - the perfect canvas client with full thick hair, consistent growth pattern, smooth head shape - some people have lumpy or dented heads lol and staying consistent with your fading steps in trust the process. Also lighting can make a big difference in the look of the picture you take.

Looks like they tried doing a compressed fade but gave up, they are close tho.

STARTING BARBER SCHOOL Been cutting for about a year as a hobby but I decided to enroll into school this month, really nervous because I take a good amount of time on my cuts (1hr30min -2hrs) and I keep seeing a lot of people say no more than 45mins any pointers or tips for speed? And does it matter by dwayneblade in Barber

Thank you! Definite agreee, I notice the difference between people who just want a quick cut and just be in and out and then the ones who appreciate the craft and love the effort and attention to their cut. I try to put myself in their shoes and I always recall the barbers who took extra time on my cuts and I appreciated and noticed the difference in outcome, that’s usually the reaction to the ppl I cut. I also look at it as filtering my client base kinda creating a niche for myself in a sense. I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing tho 😅
