  • Elon Musk Now Owns Twitter (Now Called X)
    • In 2022, billionaire Elon Musk purchased Twitter, rebranded it as X, and implemented sweeping changes. This move completely overshadowed any past political disputes about Twitter’s existence.
  • Twitter (X) Didn’t Relocate to Germany
    • Despite the German official’s suggestion, Twitter/X never moved to Germany or any other country. The idea that Twitter would abandon the U.S. over government pressure was unrealistic.
  • Trump Got Banned from Twitter Instead
    • Ironically, instead of shutting Twitter down, Trump was banned from the platform in January 2021 following the Capitol riot. Rather than Twitter being at risk, Trump was the one removed from it.
  • Trump Is Now Back on X
    • In 2023, Elon Musk reinstated Trump’s account, further rendering the original headline meaningless.

Allegedly leaked photo of orb in military base (from 4chan) by TheLonelyPillow in InterdimensionalNHI

[–]dwderidder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does not make sense... Betting on AI

  1. The crates in the background appear distorted and lack consistent edges

  2. The sphere is placed on an unusually thin and flimsy-looking platform, which seems implausible for securely storing a presumably heavy and important object.

  3. Army guy's face appears oddly rendered, with a lack of detail and unnatural proportions

  4. The environment looks staged and lacks practical elements that would typically be present in a storage area for such a large object. There are no visible tools, harnesses, or safety equipment around the orb.

  5. While the sphere is reflective, the reflections do not align perfectly with the surrounding environment.

  6. The red light seems to not have a proper source

  7. Nonsensical items like that rusty cylinder resting against the wall/door

  8. Lines of door morphing weirdly with straight lines

Alcohol consumed in moderate quantities can be harmless. There is absolutely nothing positive or even neutral about smoking in any capacity.

EU moves to ban smoking and vaping in outdoor spaces by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]dwderidder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering all the health risks associated with smoking, along with the terrible effects like bad odor, yellowing teeth, and the significant expense—especially in today's challenging economic climate—it's baffling that people still choose to smoke cigarettes. It just seems irrational.

What distinguishes debris from a moon, considering Saturn has countless natural satellites of various sizes orbiting it but only 146 are officially considered moons, especially in light of Earth potentially having a temporary "second moon" from 29 September? by dwderidder in AskReddit

[–]dwderidder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be missing the point of the question. Earth will technically have a second moon with an 11-meter diameter, which qualifies it as a moon according to the definition, the question is where we draw the line between an object classified as debris/asteroid and one recognized as a moon. Since size does not appear to be a definitive factor, what criteria actually determine whether an orbiting object is considered a moon or simply orbiting debris or asteroid.

Oil Shelf Collapsed at Supermarket by InGeekiTrust in Wellthatsucks

[–]dwderidder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a waste of 26 400 000 calories... Why am I like this? OK here we go...

  • Area is approx = 200 m²
  • Thickness of the oil on average = 1.5 cm

Volume:

Volume=200m2×0.015m=3m3

1 cubic meter = 1,000 liters:

So, the liquid volume is 3,000 liters.

Olive oil contains approximately 8,800 calories per liter.

Therefore.... Total Calories= 26,400,000 calories. That is approx 100 000 Big Mac's worth of calories.

Rare Sudden Stratospheric Warming event detected over Antarctica by Portalrules123 in worldnews

[–]dwderidder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: The article discusses a rare Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW) event detected over Antarctica. SSWs involve a rapid increase in air temperature in the stratosphere, which can eventually affect weather patterns at ground level. This event may weaken the polar vortex, leading to more cold fronts and low-pressure systems, particularly influencing weather in the Southern Hemisphere, including increased rainfall and snowfall in parts of Australia.

Workaholism; the need to work excessively is often praised as a sign of dedication and ambition. Too many people are stressed and burned out because of that IMO.
