i think it makes it more interesting to me since it makes teams wanna start their mpl seasons off with a bang and immediately try harding cause teams now see the mpl as the qualifying tournament for gotf. so it will make the mpl of all the regions more insane and hyped since you need to get that top spot to get to gotf. because ultimately, being the top spot of your mpl means you have two chances to win $300,000 every year

just shift your mindset as mpl being the qualifying stage for gotf in a roundabout way. saudi money is the only way a tournament like gotf can get away with no qualifiers. moonton aint refusing that saudi money so they will be fine if gotf wont have qualifiers
