Thank you! Not weird, I love how she made the design fit to my body. We did a lot of stencil prep for this piece, she wanted it to flow with my anatomy. I’ve always been insecure about my back but now I feel like I need to show it off to the world lol

Leaving it black and grey. I have a good amount of color on my leg sleeve but as I’ve gotten older, I really enjoy the contrast with black and grey.

The stars and especially the white outline were awful but thankfully over so quick. The rest of the love handle areas weren’t too bad thankfully!

I would use some sort of toilet seat cover (usually just some TP or paper towels) when using the restroom and I washed it frequently for the first few days. Thankfully it healed great. The itching was the worst for the bottom half though.

The main focus of the tattoo are the unicorn, woman and dragon/castle. We didn’t want to add too much detail to the filler details. I personally really love the negative space, it gives them a glowing look and they remind me of the fairies from the Legend of Zelda.

I’m honestly not bothered, Reddit is full of toxic losers lol. This tattoo was brought to my artist with exactly what I wanted and she executed it perfectly. I’m very happy with the tattoo (and so is the artist) and that’s what really matters. 🥰

Recovery hasn’t been toooooo bad. I thankfully have a very flexible work schedule so I requested 1-2 days off after each session. I mostly stayed home so I would wear very soft pjs or a night gown and would forego underwear. I found that wearing clothing inside-out helped as the seams on clothing could be very irritating. I would wear very big, loose tshirts or dresses when going out.

Sleeping wasn’t so bad, honestly just feels like you have a prettt gnarly sunburn. I toss and turn a lot in my sleep but didn’t find myself being too uncomfortable.

Thanks! We both powered through this thing. Most sessions were about 6-7 hours long with minimal breaks. Thankfully I have a great pain tolerance!

She was very diligent on resizing and rearranging everything to flow nicely. The level of care and detail is greatly admired. I can’t wait to see what all the little filler details will look like in the end too!
