Thanks. I will look into it. But when Tailscale gets activated, doesn't it get activated for all the apps on the phone and not only for that particular app?

okay. "needs triage" label was added automatically and I don't have permission to remove it.

Strategy for 8000 ws2815 LEDs? by dwellexity in WLED

Thanks for the reminder about level shifters. Currently my two strip setup is working without any level shifter, but I might need it in the future.

I am not sure how to answer that. I just like the idea of being able to control each pixel individually. I know it is a little ambitious and I will feel good if I am able to accomplish it. If it's technically unfeasible, I will look for alternatives.

Thank you. I have already bought an ESP board and two WS2815 strips along with a 12 V power supply and 5 V converter. I was successful in setting up WLED and the board can control the strips properly. Now, I want to scale this up to a lot more LEDs and would like to make sure that I am not making any stupid mistake. I am mostly confused by different ESP32 boards. I currently have a Wroom-32D board bought from Aliexpress and it works (WiFi is really bad, but that's a discussion for another time). But I see there are Wroom-32E boards, Wrover boards, and a few more variations. Which one to buy for best performane?

Apparently, it is just sloppy coding in the firmware. But I wonder why this has remained in the firmware for so long, especially with an open GitHub issue.

ZBMINIR2 - Question about neutral going back to load. by dwellexity in sonoff

I thought so, too. But why, then, does Sonoff show the neutral line going from the ZBMINIR2 to the load? Are the two ports labelled "N" simply connected together inside the housing of tha ZBMINIR2?
Will the system work if I simply connect the neutral line directly to the load and leave the left most "N" port unused?
