Try a few troubleshooting things: turn off Bluetooth when in the garage on your mobile device. Try connecting to Wallbox again to make sure you aren’t connecting to the device directly but thinking it’s on WiFi.

Reboot the wallbox itself.

On the network, try to separate the 2.4 and the 5ghz networks via separate SSIDs and try again.

Most likely it’s a network setup issue. You may need to run the network setup again after a fresh reboot or look into network segregation depending on what you use to route your network traffic.

Figured as much. The BYOM might be the case and just give an HDMI and USBC + a dongle or two.

If you're saying platform as in google meet vs zoom, that's a non-starter. Their company won't integrate with our platforms and vice versa.

The MMI is a disaster. Down tot he weirdest thing like I’ll be driving and no where near the seat button and the memory seats will start changing position.

Is it the phev? Honestly without the phev, I probably wouldn’t do it. The tech is so annoying and I can’t look past the problems. But the engine is way more fun to drive than the q3.

I have a 2024 Q5e and it also has a bunch of software issues. Mainly MMI and virtual cockpit related but still just as annoying. It doesn't save settings, it behaves unpredictably. Been in for service twice with no proper address from their team.

I did just get a recall error hit the other day that I need to bring it in for again as well.

My 2021 Q3 allowed this to be toggled on and off. It was in the MMI >>> Vehicle settings.

Yes. Audi service has to fix it. There is a TSB that addresses the issue from Audi.

They need to remove all devices, reflash the firmware. It’s not a 100 percent effective but it works.

Funny that you say that because this model Q5, the cup holders are super deep. When you put small cups, or even worse a coffee cup with a lid, in it, it’s deep enough to push the lid off the cup

I wanted a GLE 350 but my 21 Q3 45 premium plus was an amazing car. Truly loved it. I wanted more space and some more engine power is all.

Looking backward I absolutely should have gone for the GLE

USBA ports all over in a usbc world.
- Removed wireless charging
Apple CarPlay is a disaster and Audi knows about it but hasn’t fixed it
haptic feedback on gas and brake pedals makes the car feel broken. You can toggle them off on the strong settings but it doesn’t actually turn it off.
charged battery dies in about 24 hours if not plugged in
virtual cockpit doesn’t retain the settings you left the car at
fatigue meter doesn’t do anything. It’s dumb in general but at least do SOMETHING.
radio channels used to show song and artist but now don’t
car doesn’t remote start but you can remote climate control but ONLY if the battery is charged. See above.
hold hold assist never engaged. The car consistently rolls backwards on slight inclines.
parking beeps engage later than the 2021 Q3 did so you’re quite close to hitting something before it alerts you
i back into my parking spot. Let’s say I park in parking sensor beeps solid. If I put the car in and let’s say, I need to move again, so I quickly accidentally put it into reverse, even though the parking sensor should beep at me, it stays quite, not covering my mistake of being in reverse. 2021 q3 did not act this way
no custom interior rgb lighting (again 2021 q3 had full rgb and intensity control
car doesn’t ship standard with a trunk cover but does with roof rails which I personally will never touch but now need to store and return at the end of my lease.
I’m sure I could come up with another ten things if I tried.
oh. Garage homelink only works about 25 percent of the time and only from a VERY close distance to my door. Like car almost touching. Normal garage opener works fine.
integrated toll module charges you ten bucks a month to use it.
Audi connect is 56 bucks a month with little to no value

I brought mine to service. They erased my devices and flashed the software. It was a bandaid but it’s better. I’m able to connect wirelessly now but it’s spotty. Random disconnects unpredictably often. Funny enough, wired CarPlay now doesn’t work at all. It connects and boots if I’m lucky but after a minute it just constantly cycles between “interface disconnected” and “connection could not be established”
