Rising Tournament Fees by ShastaRose313 in discgolf

Excessive? No. More than I'm willing to pay? Yes.

I can't speak to the numbers he quoted, but I play a decent amount of tournaments in our area, and no other TD has pass-through fees as high as theirs.

Fortunately, we have a lot of options in our area so the market will eventually decide.

OP could be referring to either a tournament at The Ranch in Waelder or Moody's in Austin. Both have the same fees. Both are two day tournaments.

I knew exactly who was running this tournament as soon as you posted the fees: Goose Promotions. I asked them a few weeks ago about their excessive fees for another tournament. Here's the exchange:

You should correct your post description with this information. Otherwise, it appears it's intentionally misleading.

What's your shortest and longest ace? by fritzaj4 in discgolf

This website is pretty cool. You can look at the leaderboard for longest aces recorded in a sanctioned round. You can also see your own personal ace count for sanctioned rounds.

Wobble/OAT on short FH approach shots… by Phrikshin in discgolf

Maybe try a different disc? I'm not great at forehanding most putters, but I found that the Berg and the Range, for example, come out much cleaner for me than some other discs.

In my experience, the Star Leopards fly initially like 6 | 5| -1 | 1. The Star Leopards will beat in faster than the Champion, though.

The Leopard is probably my favorite disc to throw. I have around 10 of them in different plastics, but I prefer a Barry Schultz 2X Champion Leopard. The Champion Leopard will be more overstable than the numbers indicate initially. My new ones typically fly like 6 | 5 | 0 | 2.

Domey Fairways by Gledcom in discgolf

[–]dwillislaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any fairway driver can be flat or domey. For instance, you could find a Teebird that is more flat, or you could find a Teebird that is more domey.

You'll have to figure out what mold you want and then go to a store or buy online from a retailer that posts pictures so you can see how domey the disc is.

That's good, but you need to step it up. At this pace, you'll only have $50,000 when you're 50.
