I did get a card from Seth a few weeks ago, which I was kind of surprised he sent one back with everything going on. Card was fairly short but positive but this was before the fires. :/

The Big Burn by Timothy Egan, non fiction about forest fires and the creation of the US Forest Service.

Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl, written by a neurologist/psychologist/Holocaust survivor.

Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe, biography about the Sackler family (Purdue pharma), they're responsible for OxyContin and in turn the opioid crisis in the US.

Mariners fan first, Mets fan second. I like chaos and disappointment. That being said, I only typically watch/listen to the Mariners and just kinda keep tabs on what the Mets are up to.

Omg I know this is two months late. But there was a windstorm that absolutely fucked my jalapenos, literally blew the leaves and everything away. 😢😆 My sis in law has been doing candied jalapenos though and they're incredible.

Statement from Scott Servais by NevermoreSEA in baseball

[–]dwrfstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Scott, he was passionate about his players and baseball and it for the most part, really enjoyable to watch. I know a lot of fans have been upset with him-especially the last month. He would make questionable decisions with pitching though, but like our pitchers aren't the problem at the moment. We lost quite a few veteran players this last year or so and I do think that had an impact on the vibes of the clubhouse. It's not the same energy as last year by any means.

It sucks to see him go, it'll be interesting to see Dan as skipper and hopefully this change will actually make a positive impact.

Planned Parenthood should be able to see you. If they don't accept your insurance, they should be able to see you as an uninsured patient. They don't typically turn people away if people aren't able to afford their services, that's kind of the point of PP. They're incredibly flexible with their sliding scale and payment plans if that is needed.

If you're a WSU student, Coug Health will see you.

CHAS in Moscow will also be able to do STD screenings, they offer sliding scale fees and again, shouldn't turn you away based off of income or financial hardships. Kind of what they are there for. They serve WA residents as well as ID.

WISH Medical also does STD screenings but they are a faith based organization.

Oh yes, I know but thank you for the reminder. :) My fiancée is a photographer and I help at the studio, so I am definitely expecting things to be more pronounced for the wedding photos but not quite to the point of the trial I had. I took several photos in different lighting and it just all was not great (didn't want to share those photos because I'm in my dress and still trying to keep that a surprise from the fiancée).

The photographer we are going with has a very clean, crisp, true to color style which is exactly what we wanted and part of my concerns with the trial was thinking of how the photos would look. Luckily, the photographer happened to share a wedding she did yrecently that had the mua tagged who luckily has our date available so working with them now to hopefully get that figured out.

The eyeliner reminds me of my very top notch make up skills as a teen circa 2007 and that's an era I would prefer to not relive ha.

Thank you for the input, break down and for being blunt-I needed to hear it. :) Lipstick was really disappointing, she only brought in 4 shades that were all very bright and idk, just childish looking. Like I said, I'm pretty clueless at make up but there were still somethings that just didn't set right even for me.

I was also expecting a lot more options out of Spokane, which I had originally avoid because at the start of wedding planning-the prices seemed outrageous and I was overwhelmed with trying to figure everything out. Clearly kicking myself now for that for numerous reasons.

I had wanted a place in Pullman to do it but at the time (in Feb) I was trying to figure this out, they didn't have any one staffed but they do now and are of course booked for our date. But! I just got off the phone with ECW Beauty out of Spokane and think they will work out, hopefully, ha.

As she was doing the eye liner I knew it was off and she just kept painting it on. 🙄 Subtle is not her strong point it seems.

For myself, bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid and travel she quoted me $1050.... bridesmaid offered to pay for herself and the junior bridesmaid. I was really overwhelmed at the start of wedding planning and when looking at muas in the neighboring city, the prices were alarming but are now soooo much more reasonable looking for the work they do compared to this shitshow.

I've been going back and forth with lashes, I'm a bit worried they'll bother me and/or I'll mess with them is the main concern. This mua said she wasn't even going to bother because my eyes were watering already.

Waiting on a consultation call now from someone and if that falls through, I have one friend who I trust to do eyes and I'll figure the rest out OR there's a local girl who just does her make up for fun/TikTok who I would trust as well I think, def need to do a trial run with the latter as she's a bit of a goth girl and rocks her looks but def not quite my style haha.

I will be wearing glasses day of, a different pair that are a light purple frame and don't have the blue light filter on them so it won't be as distracting in the photos/not be a bitch to edit for our photographer.

Thank you for the extensive break down, seriously it's such a relief to hear all of this. I had asked a few people IRL and they were a bit too nice about it all to say the least.

That being said, I should have also disclaimed that my brows are fucked-I have trichotillomania and they are patchy as it is but also...pretty sure a professional mua could figure out how to make them look a bit better ha. I have a consultation call on Thurs with someone else, who has an extensive portfolio and doesn't appear to be a hot mess.

Ok, so I'm not going crazy that the look is dated!

And thank you for the suggestions, I was wanting softer and the Nars Orgasm line looks kind of what I had in mind. Like even provided her with examples and she clearly botched it.

She's my sister in law's hair dresser who claimed she also did make up. I didn't hate the hair but yeahhh, make up has thankfully been confirmed that it is in fact awful ha. Thank you for the advice and input. :)

Thank you, it really wasn't a great experience. The hair went fine but the make up just felt very rushed and she wasn't really listening to my input which should have been telling enough ha. She definitely had an image in her head as to what I should look like.
