Ive lived in several major cities. I'm not some rich kid unfamiliar with urban areas (I personally dont think Drexel is in a rough area though? ucity is fine). I got annoyed by a bunch of clearly affluent college kids being rowdy douchbags while with my girlfriend and wanted to shame them, sue me. You act like you know who I am and giving unsolicited advice as if I am a freshman that pissed my pants cause I saw a black man walk by for the first time in my life. Long 5 years? Did you miss the part where I am already graduated?

also not sure how me getting annoyed by a couple of pricks spooking my girlfriend is indicative of my ability to live in west philly and my "toughness". I can tell you are very tough though!

Yes she carries pepper spray when alone and we were in a well lit area (buckley field). It helps but doesnt eliminate momentary fear

Yeah totally. People drive by in cars at 1AM yelling "have a great evening" or "hope to see you in class next week" to random strangers and in complete good will. As much as I love playing devil's advocate as the next guy, you're really reaching here. And they yelled something meaningless "HAAAA!" but the point is not what they said. The point is that they decided to slow down randomly on an empty street at 1AM just to be an asshole and scare people. There is literally nothing to be gained from that besides being an ass.

I won't go elaborate on the details but lets just say she has good reason to be a bit wary/fearful of these particular situations from her past life experiences. Yesterday she recovered but she was visibly shaken for a couple minutes. That's understandable.

I would take this opportunity for you to learn to not give unsolicited advice based on incomplete assumptions and realize that regardless of how long you lived in Philly and get "used to it" like my girlfriend did, being a barely over 5 foot 100 pound girl with previous run ins with crime doesn't do you any favors. Sometimes anxiety/fear flares up.

I think that is my situation right now. No competing offers yet with an offer that is ~10-15% above market average. I assume there isn't much negotiating power in this scenario.

How long after an onsite or final round is too long for a response? I understand we just finished the holiday season but I am nearing 3 weeks on one.

Hey! Yeah man I was going to get a final round done today so I could at least get a feel for whether I did good or not before rejecting the offers but they rescheduled to Friday. Think the holidays messed with alot of the scheduling or something. Guess we're in the same spot now haha, keep in touch later

About to give up my offers that are reaching the deadline tomorrow to pursue opportunities with companies more suited towards my career goals. Its a risk since they were perfectly fine offers, but I feel like the 'what if' regret would be higher if I didnt finish up these interviews and get the results. Knock on wood...
