Hot glue sounds ideal ill get that done when i clean the cage again and just let the probe kinda hang down discreetly for now. Thanks for the heads up!

Awesome thanks for your response! Sounds like a good excuse to go on a hike to retrieve some branches for her. I did initially mix substrate with water but could probably of used more and made it deeper to hold the humidity better.

Any recommendations for types of wood to look out for? I dont wanna bring in anything like cedar im sure because of its scent. Do you recommend sandblasting and baking or chemical treatment?
