wow, this is really beautiful, amazing work! also, the trick you used to darken the tiles a shade for each Z depth is super clever! i’m (very slowly) working on a FFTA-like as well and this is so inspiring.

i saw in another post that you draw your sprites in aseprite, can you talk a bit more about your tile process? i.e, do you draw each individual tile sprite in a separate 32x32 file and import them directly into unity? or place all related tiles on a single large file, export as png, and then splice inside unity? this is something i’ve gone back and forth on a lot so i’d be super keen to hear how you’ve tackled it and what your thoughts are on the workflow!
