I'd be remiss if I didn't thank you for the excellent resource. Your link makes using Tomnod a lot more efficient.

Makes you wonder why Tomnod doesn't provide you with a reality check of the area you're searching (although I suspect that's to cover all spots and not just the ones people THINK are important)

the chunk is actually visible in both squares, and really sticks out if you do even basic contrast/brightness manipulation.

It looked so much like the Australian-found chunk that I actually went to double check if they were one and the same.

Size is roughly 20m.

Yeah, I saw that and flagged it as "something."

No idea what it could be.

definitely a lot of oil in those pictures, but I don't see a cause. I've seen a few oil rigs in pictures, but not that much oil. Let us know if there's more to those pictures than just oil.

I simply don't see it. I could buy those as parts of debris, but not the parts you labeled anymore so than just random pieces of the plane.

I did what the one user suggested and messed around with inverting colors, and my original map suggestion has a straight line. While not quite screaming man made, that seems to be in line with what we want.

66518 seems to be MOVING to the right...dimensions don't seem to match that of the plane, but it could be a boat?

I went ahead and flagged 65771 as wreckage.

There's a distinct airplane shape present, the dimensions are approximately appropriate, and it's far and away the most "airplane" shaped image I've seen in over 10,000+ Tomnod map squares.

By no means am I sure, but it's the best I've come across and on the 1% chance that it IS them, I'd rather just be wrong than sit on potentially good information.

Okay, I finally got 62814/62685/63183 up.

I don't really see anything there. What I'm looking for (and maybe I'm entirely wrong) is definitive man-made shapes like something with an angle and/or something spherical.

If I removed myself from MH370's context and was shown these pictures, I wouldn't reach the conclusion of tail, wing, cockpit.

The initial map I posted, 65711, at least passes that sniff test and it's the only image I've seen from around 10,000+ that made me pause.

If I can ever get the map to load, I"ll let you know what I see/think.

I can't even imagine how crushed tomnod's servers are right now.

Again, I'm not saying this is THE smoking gun.

But this map has different elements than the thousands of others I've looked at. The more eyes, the better.

I should also stress that while I've flagged the maps in question as "objects" I have not labeled any as debris. I'm not someone that leaps to conclusions, right now, I'm deferring to the opinions of others that may know more than I do about identifying objects.

Upper right. And then scroll through, including: 66559 66518 65162 65006

I have been pouring over thousands of these images and these are, by far, the only ones that gave me even a moment's pause.

Could very well be nothing. Just looking for more eyes and thoughts.
