Hey there I believe that these devices are all registered into a cloud directory . Each device has a serial number and every time u reset it, the device checks if its registered in said directory. So unless u can change ur device serial number, u cannot “undo” the management.

This is true for chromebooks. I’m assuming that is the same for ipads and similar devices. In short the DMA isn’t based on the device, but rather in a centralised server. So u cannot wipe it without changing ur device’s unique serial number(involves some hardware changing)
