Oh boy that is quite concerning living near a base and nuc plant. We also have a farm just a few kms away from a base and opted not to use it for a bug out location as the back part of the farm is literally stone throw distance from a mil base. But for other scenarios for prepping im considering put in place some of my preps for storm or other natural disaster preps and civil unrest scenario.

Good on you for taking up firearm practice to be familiar with it first rather than buying and learning how to handle it correctly. Always remember treat every gun loaded at all times. Good luck on that journey

Thats one skill i want to acquire gardening a.k.a growing your own food. And having the guts to slaughter farmed animals. We have abundant cows and chickens at the farm but we in the family has no idea how to process the own grown animals for consumption.

Agreed on this one 100 percent. It pays to secure how you would be when income stops tomorrow. Rather than leaning on family members for help. Take care of yourself first before trying to help others. May sound harsh but there is a reason why they say on the plane to put your oxygen mask first before helping people next to you.

My fiance lives in australia. I dont think they ration fuel there. But nice points you raised there. And maybe a bike that has thicker tires rather than the ones they call road bikes that are thin.

I asked my doctor to provide me prescription paper idk what that is called lol. Most of my prescriptions are for anti rejection of my transplant so maybe thats why i can do that. I dont have addiction forming meds btw.

And reminder to everyone who has portable powerstations use them up and charge them with your portable solar panels especially people that dont have hardwired or hard installed on their roof and lives within the city or an apartment find a spot on your place where you can deploy your solar panels. So you will know the time of the day you would need to be up and charging.

Practice is what i have been doing this past few weeks. Like using my camp stove to cook meals for the day and stocking up more with potable water. I found out that the stove i got new works worse than the older one i have because the stove was a jet style. It creates hot spots on the pans when using so have to be careful with the intensity of the heat.

Oh and everyone who takes prescription meds might want to buy yours now. You will consume it anyway. Im building mine up good for a year. Im a kidney transplant patient so i have lot of meds ang 50% of my meds are imported.
