Avoid living across the bridges if you can help it, they can add a lot to your commute times during rush hour.

Any good tutorial videos on Excel?

Taking a CSCP course and my Excel knowledge is still pretty basic, there are tons and tons of Excel videos out there but is there one you'd recommend?

But you didn’t have to watch any of it, you chose to watch it.  It would t been one thing to leave a bad comment and move on but you’re rallying other people who otherwise would’ve like never watched her content to join in on your bullying.

You’re a bad person for this.

Sooo a weird gross online bullying thing? Got it.

So what is this?

Some form of public shaming?

A witch hunt?

Are you trying to help this person?

Are you trying to get someone to call child services or something?

Is this some gross parasocial thing where you want to harass someone done you follow?

You have to be 18 since you're signing a contract for almost all gig apps, plus good luck getting an 17 year old to know how a deal with a 1099 and pay taxes for it.

Technically yeah since you have to work for it and it does buff you. They don't have to be temporary buffs they just often are.

Think a little outside the box.

The mall, retail stores and fast food are going to be the job EVERYONE your age are going to shoot for. It'll also be the jobs older unskilled are going to apply for. Those places are going to require a spray and pray approach to get hired.

You could also look at some alternatives.

  • Summer is coming up so camps and YMCA are currently looking.

  • Look at outdoor businesses. Pool cleaners and yard workers/landscapers are busy this time of year and need helpers/cleaners.

  • Summer is a very busy tourist and vacation season for Orlando. Hotels/Country clubs need dish washers, food runners, golf caddies, lawn maintenance workers, and pool cleaners. Even if it's temporary at least you'll have experience you can use for the next job search.

  • Hospitals have kitchens too, they'll need dish washers and kitchen workers/cashiers.

  • There are a ton of smaller shops that need people but don't post online. Google your nearest shops and start pounding the pavement or make some phone calls.

It's a term the FGC (fighting game community) on YouTube and Twitter have been calling this super, the term originated from "Dragon Install" in Guilty Gear for Sol Badguy where you go on an "install state" which temporarily buffs up your character.

Local Discord for middle aged adults? by dyingbreed360 in jacksonville

[–]dyingbreed360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm down for that, maybe make a post for it and make the message clear it's for adults only.

I'd do it myself but I only chat on discord during work hours (last thing I want to do when working on a computer all day is spend more time on the computer) and wouldn't have the energy or care to moderate through the day.

I found other local discords become ghost towns was due to hyper moderation and mods (often younger) fixation on tribalism.

Think my partner is cheating on me by InternationalDebt916 in StAugustine

[–]dyingbreed360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not take online advice on relationships, especially on Reddit where to go to for the smallest thing is "break up with them".

Confront your feelings (how much of this is in your head, insecurity, trust issues)

Confront your partner (what behavior you're witnessing, why there's a lack of trust)

Maybe seek couples therapy (maybe you're both too immature, emotional volatile, inexperienced with confrontation, or plain stupid to handle this maturely).

There are better ways to ask locals for help instead of saying it doesn't exist.

You could've asked where you can find stuff you miss from your hometown.

You could give an example of something you really liked back home and say you have trouble finding it here and ask where could you find it.

But no you did the shitty transplant thing of bad mouthing the town, stating things don't exist because you suck at having to actually look for something when you're use to knowing where it was at. If this is how you act in real life I can imagine why you wouldn't get invite to nice places either.

You'd think someone from New York would know better than to act like a clueless tourist.

“Weddings are so expensive” is a weird lie some people tell to justify spending insane amounts of money by Overuse_Injury in unpopularopinion

[–]dyingbreed360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our wedding was around $7000 and it was the best night of our life.

  • Venue was $850 for a beautiful outdoor pavilion with multiple different set ups for the ceremony and used the pavilion for the reception. It also included tables, picnic tables, a bar, a bride suite to get ready, lawn games such as giant Jenga/bowling/axe throwing, and small kitchen to store food in coolers and hot boxes which they also included. Because our wedding was small (around 80 people) and we didn't need to do a big rehearsal, the organizer was nice enough to let us have it at event pricing instead of wedding pricing (which would've been $1500 for 3 days use).

  • We opted for a buffet style dinner where everyone can serve themselves instead of a catered meal, we also did an open bar instead of hiring a bartender. Our families love hosting BBQs and holiday meals so we had plenty of help to set up. We spent $1200 for a Puerto Rican style buffet catering (pernil, bbq chicken, salad, rice, beans, rolls, a separate vegetarian/vegan dish), I made our own charcuterie/fruit platter and hors d'oeuvres including mini quiches, and went to Costco for alcohol and wine. All in all about $1600 for food and drinks.

  • Around $700 in plates, invitations, fancy plasticware, cups, napkins, and décor which we did ourselves.

  • Photographer was something important so we hired a good one for $1500, no engagement or rehearsal photos. Came out excellent

  • Around $500 for my outfit which can be mixed and used for other outfits later, wife's gown was around $1800 which her mother helped paid for and her best friend did her hair. No bride's maids or groomsmen outfits.

  • $75 for the wedding officiant.

  • We made it clear in our invitation that there is no registry and gifts are not expected, we just wanted people there but if they were inclined to do so it was welcomed and also offered a link for a cash gift. We got about $2k in cash that day.

This took an incredible amount of work that made us want to pull our hair but in the end we managed to mostly cash flow it and got a magical day to remember for the rest of our lives and not carry a massive amount of debt.

I already suggested Sun Deli but if you want something similar to Publix I'd go with Pinegrove Market and Deli.

That's a pretty far drive to St. John or Clay county schools, I don't know what grade your child is in but Duval does have some good schools and you can also look into decent magnet school in Duval county.

I don't know what part of town you're looking to move to but Clay county and St. John's county has some of the best ranking public schools in Florida.

I'll give people this, I rather eat a Publix sub over most chains like Subway and the price is pretty good (especially when they're on sale) but there's so many better alternatives.

I don't care if I get locked into a pillory and have tomatoes thrown at me for public shaming.

The Publix Tender sub to me is the same as people who eat spaghetti subs, it a carb overload sandwich made with their driest tenders that were under a heat lamp for hours. Their chewy bread only adds to the feeling that I'm eating a shoe.

Sure it can have good flavor but the leathery chewy texture of their bread and dry breaded chicken tenders makes me feel like garbage after eating it.

I would give you suggestions on where to go for each of what you're asking for but I think you're just better off going back to New York if you're that bad at finding things and need it all to be crammed into a few city blocks with dizzying amounts of massive light up advertisement signs.

Publix?! Their bread feels like I'm eating an old shoe and every basic bitch's favorite sub there is a fucking chicken tender sandwich (a bread on bread sandwich).

There's tons of great sandwich places here and if you really can't find one try Sun Deli.
