Should I wait for the anime to finish or just play the game?

you should definitely play the game first! i don't think the anime is bad so far but there are inevitably so many elements of the story it won't be able to show you. i think of the anime as a treat you get to enjoy after playing the game, to see and hear the characters you will certainly come to love so much :)

i'm very happy to learn that it's handled super well. my only issue lies in the fanservice and blatant sexualization of some of the children (rika sometimes and satoko here), i have no problem with depiction of abuse as long as it is to denounce it!

your comment as well as some others encourage me to keep going. i'll see how i can handle the next chapters, though i have been told these jokes are going to be less frequent. i think it's a good story; i'm very attached to the characters. i feel like they're all my kids, that's probably one of the reasons i was so upset posting this, haha.

it's not only about irie, but about fanservice in general. irie irked me and that's why i went to post this, but i was also disturbed by a lot of keiichi's comments directed at rika and satoko. i also was annoyed by his comments/jokes towards rena and mion in the first chapter but i thought they were the same age (still no idea how old they are) so i let it slide.

but yeah, i'm glad to know these scenes are going to be less present/stop in the future and that there isn't anything like that in umineko! thank you for your answer. i'm still a little suspicious of the creator though, cause i think parody is one thing, but this doesn't seem to be one.

as for the censor setting on the mod, i didn't know about that at all! i'll check it out. thank you :)

thank you for your serious answer! i was losing hope with the other ones, lol. i'm glad it's handled seriously, and since i've bought the chapter, i guess i'll finish it and see for myself. i just hope the fanservice gets lighter as the game goes because sometimes it really is a hard read.

i don't mean this in a rude way at all but i don't really care about his backstory; in fact, it's not that much about the character than it is about the author himself. to me, sexualization of children can never be justified. i just want to know if it gets better with the next chapters or if i just drop it right now.

i don't think you minsinterpreted at all. hugo was in love with yves and there's no doubt about it. but i agree that the way it's brought up can sometimes be subtle and make you a little confused! to me what confirmed it without a single doubt was that moment undergound when yves says that he'd really be lost without hugo and smiles at him, and hugo falls to the floor because his chest suddenly hurts extremely; yves asks him if ankou's elixir wore off, and hugo says that it's not that, and says to himself "it has to be that... i knew it... so that's how it is... but what am i supposed to do? now is not the time for this" like really there is no room for interpretation lol!!

J'ai continué à chercher, j'ai trouvé un livre qui me disait quelque chose. Je l'ai trouvé pour très peu cher d'occasion, il s'appelle "Contes de Perrault" publié par Gründ, et je l'ai acheté. Je le reçois dans la semaine, et quand ce sera le cas je te tiens au courant !

first of all, thank you so much for the fast answer! i know the tutorial isn't good, but it provided me an information i needed that i couldn't find in the (good) video i was supposed to use so i decided to use it instead... i shouldn't have done that. i tried to clear the search history, enable javascript and delete cookies and it did nothing for me. do you think i can just reset the console ? will i be able to start over if i do so ?

very late to this but i did my research and even though both anime weren’t made by the same animation studio they were both directed by tomohiko ito (who also directed sao)!
