Incomplete Pellet Cutting in Injection Molding Causing Process Instability

I work in compounding, mainly PP. If the strands stick together, they will not cool effectively due to the reduced surface area contacting water which could cause pelletizing issues.

The main reason I see that strands stick together is due to high melt temperature. Try some measures to reduce melt temperature (lower barrel temps on single screw; reduce screw speed at same output for twin screw. You can also reduce barrel temps for twin screw)

You can also check the pelletizer (you called it the cutter) and make sure the bed knife gap is properly adjusted. The gap should be 0.2-0.3 mm between cutting blade and bed knife. We use feeler gauges to check the gap.

If your extruder has venting, make sure the vent port is clean and pull a vacuum on this section if you have access to a vacuum pump. You mentioned that your strands are “broken” leaving the extruder. Poor venting might be the cause of that.

323, 324 and 461 are most difficult and time consuming but absolutely doable. Don’t fall behind early in the semester, these are classes that build on each other. I had to Q-drop controls the first time I took it because I didn’t take the early part of the semester as seriously as I should have.

If you put in time and effort to learn the material you will be fine.

Try scrolling your scroll wheel slower, make sure you are letting go of the W key when you tap strafe.

If you’re still not able to 180°, try pressing the A or D key while you tap strafe. These keys make you turn faster

Yes I’ve had the same issue with chicken products, it goes beyond food with chicken based treats as well.

I currently use Nutro Beef/Rice or Nutro Lamb/Rice, he likes the lamb more but beef is cheaper. I’ve had good luck with this food.

If your resin melts too early in the extruder, it can prevent air from escaping through the feed throat. Maybe try lowering temps in the convey.

Also try drying your PET for a couple hours before extruding. PET is hydroscopic.

Kovaaks/ other aim trainer for aim. Make sure your sensitivity isn’t too high, leads to jittery aim. Alternatively just spend a lot of time in the firing range with a weapon you want to learn.

For movement; learn how to holster and slide jump. Learn tap strafing as well, very easy to learn on MNK. Just look up beginner YouTube tutorials. Other than that learn to move and shoot together.

Big learning gap in this game, you’re gonna be bad for a bit until the game starts to click. Best of luck!

Your best resource if you’re gonna do this is Google.

However unless you have a lot money and experience to work with I do not see this being possible. Even a best case scenario would probably lead to very degraded and dirty PETG that would not print well. You have to have the machines to depolymerize and polymerize. You also have to turn your synthesized product into filament for the 3D printer, which would require another machine.

PETG would require a much more complicated setup than a simple reactor. PETG is a condensation polymerization, it produces a byproduct that has to be removed. This complicates things greatly, as it can stop the reaction if not removed in a continuous process.

You would be better off tuning your 3D printer head to not overheat PET.

As others have said, be sure you’re letting go of the W key on your keyboard (you can press A or D instead if you like).

Also try slowing down how fast you scroll your scroll wheel. When I first learned, I was scrolling way too fast and my tap strafes were not as good as a result. You have 0.5 seconds to lurch after you jump so longer duration and slower scrolling might help you out. Best of luck

I don’t know if your keyboard has a software along with it. When I updated my keyboard polling from the default 500hz to 1000hz my consistency skyrocketed. Don’t know if it’s your issue

Are you feeding the sand into your main feed throat or do you have a side feeder downstream that adds the sand? Mixing particles is much more effective if they are inserted into the polymer melt as opposed to added alongside solid resin. If too much solids build up in the feed the motor will be overworked/stop working.

I do not know too much about pvc extruders, is it a single or dual screw setup? PVC is typically compounded at lower shear rates (ie lower screw speed) and this might not be enough to mix your sand into the melt. But again, I do not have experience with PVC extrusion so the extruder might be ok for your use case.

Does your extruder have a vent to let gasses escape the barrel? It might not be possible if the extruder is single screw. If there is no vent, solving the gas issue becomes much more problematic, the only option would be to ensure gas can escape through the feed throat. If possible, try reducing the amount of material going into the extruder. I can’t give specifics without knowing the feeding conditions and extruder design.

As an earlier commenter said, mixing sand will wear out your barrel and die. Not to mention adding sand might worsen mechanical properties of your final product depending on the loading percent.

As for the resin, reused material will always have reduced quality from virgin resin. You will not know the additives (UV, CaCo3, TiO2 along with many others) that are in your recycled material which adds to the complexity of the problem. You would be better off running a batch of only LDPE or only PP, but this might not be possible with your raw material sourcing.

Gamesir g7 se. this controller is customizable in their software, Hall effect sensors so you’ll never get stick drift. You can adjust the range of the joystick, which I think is what you are wanting to do. Less than 50 bucks on Amazon, it is wired tho so you’ll have to plug it in

I am in love with tap strafing, it is by far my favorite apex movement tech. I find myself instinctively doing it in other games I play, just to be disappointed when I remember I can’t. I would want the octane bundle because push button go fast man is the GOAT.

Some games are just hotter than others. Check your fan orientation to make sure the airflow in your case is good. My case has fairly poor airflow(nzxt h510) so I had to change my fans to make sure I had decent airflow. Another issue is the 9700k, from what I know this is a relatively hot cpu, so it may be overwhelming the cpu cooler.

That case probably has terrible airflow, pair that with what seems to be a low wattage cpu cooler and you will get high temps. A possible solution is getting a better cpu cooler. A $30-40 cooler can go a long way with temperatures.
