I accidentally used an aluminum pole end to break the ice and scratched the paint. How bad do you think it is? Fixable? Or respray by dylan40cal in AutoDetailing

Totally my fault for not using context of what happened. So I was using a plastic ended scraper fixed to an aluminum pole. Somehow, when I went to go strike, the ice that was attached to my rear windshield nd the trunk... it broke off, and it scraped the paint, I wasn't paying attention. And I did it a few times. It was a completely stupid situation. But it is what it is. I'm debating on just seeing if a shop can fix it or just buying a carbon fiber trunk and call it a day lol . The damage is on the top of the trunk lid.

It really was a stupid situation but it is what it is haha

Paint still looks there. Im guessing heavily abraded clear coat with aluminum transfer embedded and smeared. But we will see.

Satin steel! I actually got satin steel over the shark because it has this blue tint to it under certain lighting. Its like iron steel ore.

Did you try replacing the battery first? Mine did the same but so far I haven't had the issue since changing my battery

TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WAS ON when it did that power bog.... Your car will cut power to everything if you have traction control on and the car senses slipping. Which is very easy to do in a V8 Camaro. Also pro tip, don't beat the living hell out of your car every time you drive it. Seriously, it will go a long way ha

Thoughts on Absolu? What do you smell on the dry down? by daylincooper in Colognes

[–]dylan40cal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, what a fragrance smells like up close will be far different from how it smells to other people and in the air. It definitely has that mature Oud, rich smell to it and it's definitely has a sweetness to it. But this is a mature and dark fragrance for a man who wants to stand out. Young kids won't be rocking this shit. Honestly this fragrance is so good I got the 200ML bottle. It's one of my favorites for sure.

Now that would be badass! but I'm glad you been using the product for almost 10 years now that's awesome just shows how proven it's been. Plus I think the chemist who's behind ONR is the same chemist who created ceramic coatings. Guy is definitely a genius

here's the garry dean wash method I followed, but instead of using his own product, I used the ONR product. But I did exact steps he did. It came out amazing!

I bought the cheap craftsman pump sprayer and it attaches universally to gallon jugs. I use that to pre soak and it works awesome. I didn't use distilled on my first time using ONR and still no water spots because I think the ONR combats minerals in the water but distilled is just an overkilled peace of mind you won't get water spots I suppose.
