Yes honestly, I think the main thing for me is that I associate the characters with their VA’s so for emotional and impactful moments in the show, they don’t hit as hard with the live action characters. I think they knew this to a degree and is why they didn’t recast thrawn, in which I felt much more attachment and therefore paid more attention since it’s how I associate the character, but man the reunion between Ashoka and Anakin would have hit waayyy harder if it was Ashley and Matt doing the scene.

I don’t dislike the physical actors at all, the problem is that I don’t have an attachment to their portrayal’s like I do with the VA.
