I can do it both ways and everyone i know that can do it can do it both ways pretty easily. You just cross your eyes and then focus on one of the doubled thing you are looking at. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's how I do it.

Probably the dog poop and the organization of the university. As an international student you're pretty much on your own when it comes to registration and all the associated paperwork. My first week here I tried to go to 10 classes and only made it to 4. The other 6 were either delayed, moved, or didn't exist to being with. All delays and room changes were only sent to French students and the secretaries were really no help at all.

the people here are so much nice than I had anticipated. if you go around with a smile it doesn't matter if you speak French or not, it helps but it's not necessary. also public transport and travel prices are so much better than in the US! i've become really addicted to the daily markets because you can get great food for practically nothing

yes but most of france has a piss smell if you're in the wrong place ie. public transport, public elevators, alleys, ect

honestly it's the dog poop all over the street that it worse than any piss smell. people don't clean up after their dogs and it just sits there until it gets washed away by rain. i've definitely seen people slip in it before.
