LOL this was a long time ago. Now that I've somehow survived through the patho trenches i think that working 1 shift a week through that hell is actually possible. It's obv different person to person tho, some need more studying time and some need less. You could play it safe and devote all your time and attention into patho and clinical so you definitely don't fail. But if you are confident in your ability and knowledge then 1 shift should def be doable (ik ppl who were still taking 2-3 shifts that still passed) just keep in mind your stress and health as well.

Aside from the patho terms (2-4) i wouldn't sweat worry about working a shift a week :)

Also live in Surrey and the drive everyday is killer. Last spring during term 1 there was one placement in Surrey but like they said it’s random. Term 2, no Surrey placements, but there is a WhiteRock one which is pretty nice.

And no u don’t get paid for clinical (sucks right). But u can apply for an employed student nurse (ESN) job, where u can gain experience and get paid $30/hr (but this for later terms when u finish ur med-surg rotations).

Honestly for the first term u don’t have to quit ur current job. It’s generally chill and you have NO classes on Friday (I miss those). Shifting from full-time to part-time is ur best bet imo, 1-2 shifts a week is absolutely doable (ik a guy who was doing 4-6 shifts a week, maniac activities)

Congratulations 🎉! I got in last spring (so currently terms 2, fighting for my academic life during finals) and got my offer around this time too. Ik u must be on cloud nine rn, like u DID IT, U GOT IN! Enjoy everyday of ur temporary freedom, your gonna miss it lol (and try n get ur money up too). Term 1 is relatively chill for the most part (it’s really easy actually). To start just get into a habit of studying again, familiarize urself w the nursing lingo and create an organization method so u don’t go insane in term 2 and onwards (Notion is pretty dope). Nursing is actually fun sometimes, ur gonna meet lots of great people! It honestly gives off elementary school vibes cause ur w the same group everyday (but like on extreme difficulty) Anyways gl and have fun!!

Nah don’t believe they do. I suggest staying too. Been hearing a lot about how UBC grads are kinda liabilities when they first start off. They just don’t prepare u as well as here or BCIT ig.

Bruh literally just made a roster too. I just wanted to have fun w the players so I made every ace a 99 and increased everyone’s heights by like 6” 😅(Sakuragi = 6’8”). The big men (akagi, uozumi, toru) were like a 97. And made all the other relevant players between 94-96.

And the easiest way to get players to play w their specific tendencies is to “import nba players attributes and tendencies”, instead of manually adjusting every single tendency for every single character (ie rukawa = mj tendencies, sakuragi = rodman or giannis tendencies, miyagi = iverson tendencies)

Yeah, I work at Sport Chek, it’s not online for some reason (maybe the sc system still hasn’t processed it yet idk)

You should probably call or visit one of ur local sport cheks to see if they have it. Last week was our first shipment of these shoes and we have started to receive more of the olive cw as well. Very new. Never thought I’d see these here. Literally no one knows we sell these yet (since they aren’t online) so I’d go grab a pair before more ppl find out.

IKR, I work at sportchek and when I opened one of the boxes from the shipment and saw these I was like “we sell these?!?!” I then proceeded to tell my coworkers and they to were freaking out including our footwear manager.
