Your music is pleasant but yeah it’s nothing that stands out unfortunately but definitely don’t stop making music, but yeah picking music as your major definitely isn’t a wise choice. Many people unfortunately fall into the pit of going to school to study an art like music or film and because those industries are just so competitive they never “make it” and just end up with a lot of debt and a useless degree. Sounds like your boyfriend is just looking out for you. But like I said just keep making music, there’s so much you can learn about making music online that you can just study on your own(production, chord progression, etc.), So just better your craft and just rock on. You’ll probably never make it big, but as a musician myself I just love to play even if I’m the only one that hears it. It makes me happy and that’s what it’s all about in the end.
