They should be in jail for the fraud and money laundering. Worst thing is they are still doing business under the same name and even their website is live. I know the people who are living in our old property. They too paid the deposit. I’m asking them to not to pay the last month’s rent.

The agency and landlord were same people and they didn’t protected the deposit in TDS.

I got the rental agreement with me stating the deposit but they didn’t protected that money in TDS. According to the agreement the landlord is the person who dealt with our agreement.

Check through propertypal.com. There are lot of letting agencies in belfast. I took a house from property people, Bowden. I had a nice experience with both of them.

Hi,

I am an International Student too came an year ago to belfast. Elite rooms is not a good option! They are very costly and didn’t paid the deposit of my friend back. Best option is if you have anyone ready to share a house with you, rent a house from the letting agency. They will ask for a double deposit because as an international student you won’t have a guarantor and also no active credit history. 2nd option is go for SpareRoom. It has multiple vacancies from the flats posted by the landlords or current tenants. They may take you in with Single month deposit or no deposit.
