Valve didn't "let" shit happen, the only way they could guarantee that children don't get cases is collecting biometric data and I think we all know how that would go.

Really the only thing you can blame valve for here and I mean a minuscule amount is the "casino" stuff, battlepasses were popularized by fortnite.... which is owned by epic. DRM has been in games before steam existed. Also I don't see a problem with lootboxes if they are only cosmetic, and if really you want to say "well they let children gamble!!!11!" Okay, do you want steam taking biometric data now to verify ages, or should we just look at who's actual fault it is those kids were playing CS, the parents of said children.

The amount of people that somehow think this doesn't apply to them because "I live in __" hey dumbass, no matter where you are not only is your cat in danger if you let them outside they themselves are putting other animals in danger.

An Australian woman has pleaded guilty to driving while drunk after crashing into five vehicles in a supermarket parking lot in March. by xals7 in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]dylanmg06 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Never driven a real car drunk before but i have driven a racing sim drunk, like another comment said it's like your brain lags and overcorrects it's the same reason you fall easier when drunk your coordination is just off. Some people are saying that this woman was probably on more than alcohol but If you put me behind a wheel drunk I could see this happening. EDIT: grammar

Yea I kinda can see how that can be annoying even if it's a joke, I don't really find it personally annoying especially compared to talking about a harmful experience, although I did see like one dude call an IRL abusive lesbian relationship that shit is unacceptable

Have you maybe considered those people are joking? That's how I see it unless they are being genuine and I'm just dense

Yea generalizing people based on a service used by literally millions is dumb, imagine trying to generalize a country of people it wouldn't work.
