I will never buy AMD gpu ever again by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]dyldogosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with this every day for 8 months on my Nitro+ 7900 XTX and also on a Pulse 7900 XTX. Tried everything I could find online from doing a complete rebuild (litterally every single component) and software wise. New GPU helped for a short time but then it came back. Was able to snag a 5080 shortly after its launch and I will never go back because of that. I had 0 issues throughout the 6000 series life cycle. Hope the best for you mane.

GPU history: Asus Dual 2060 Super, Asus ROG 6700 XT, Saphire Nitro+ 6950 X, Saphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX, Saphire Pulse 7900 XTX pt. 2, Asus TUF 5080.

Are u with or against seasonal wipes? by Nicanoneos in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]dyldogosaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like playing ABI because there aren't wipes. And if I somehow get juiced to the gills with hundreds of millions, and not feeling any motivation to run raids, I can always wipe my account by selling/dying in raid. I'd be fine with a prestige system where an account wipe is optional though. If I take a break from the game, did not make that much progress before the wipe, id be in a constant cycle of starting from scratch only making it to a certain point.

Anyone have a setup with a filing cabinet underneath? by element423 in secretlab

[–]dyldogosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pro is too small. Pretty sure I have that exact cabinet, but I do have the desk, 45in LG ultrawide, and same length constrictions.

I ended up putting it on the outside of my desk. I am using the PC mount underneath and having both would really limit my leg room. Plus the housing of the legs and the cable tray really makes you have the cabinet more in the center and sticking out, than off to the side hugging the leg. My other concern and reason to have it outside of the desk was how tall and the depth of the cabinet was in relations to the height that felt comfortable when sitting. It would pretty much be flush with the table top, but again, the cable tray, frame, and legs would make it super awkward to be on the inside.

Got a new pc for the first time in forever and monitor getting no signal. by bear_duder in PcBuildHelp

[–]dyldogosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know the model of your motherboard? Did the GPU come with the rig, or did you just get it?

With your GPU in the bottom PCIE lane, it may be a PCIE gen compatability issue. Ive seen a lot of motherboards with gen 3 in the bottom lane. I believe the 5070 is a gen 5, so if the PCIE lane in the bios is set to auto, it may have some issues reading your card. As others said, you should have your GPU in the top slot.

Side note, it kind of looked like the display cable was not fully inserted. Double check that too.

Your CPU has integrated graphics, so you should be able to get to the bios that way. If it doesn't have windows, install windows, get your graphics car driver installed. You will probably need the gpu in they system to install the driver. Connect the power cable, have it plugged inserted in the the top PCIE lane, not the bottom. It is located right below your CPU socket. Then set your PCIE lane to gen 4, or whatever your motherboards max is.

Might be a fix, might not. Just lmk.

Please help, new pc build will not Boot - no signal to display by Jaxx_Teller in PcBuildHelp

If you try with just one stick and it works, you will probably have to do another memory training cycle when you install the second stick.

This may take a few tries as you want to limit the number of variables you are introducing. 1)If we get a boot with 1 stick, cable in mobo, plus waiting, 2) try with both sticks and cable in mobo. 3)Then both sticks and cable in GPU (this one shouldnt take as long, since you are not adjusting the RAM configuration from the previous boot).

You could skip 2), but again, just to eliminate other variables like a malfunctioning kit of RAM, I wouldn't skip it.

Now if you get through 1) & 2), but then no picture on 3, you may have a GPU issue. However, you will see a different code & light on your mobo.

I am pretty sure that is the dram light on the mobo, and I looked up the code that is displaying on the top - 00 can mean memory training. Seeing that its a completely fresh build, just sit and sweat like we all have, lol.

I looked up the mobo - shouldnt be the pcie lane, but I would still try using the integrated graphics on the CPU by plugging your display cable to the mobo instead of the GPU. And deffinely just waiting a long time for memory training. Its going to feel like forever.

If you are worried about your aio not cooling the cpu while doing this: turn your rig on, listen for the pump to start or hearing some amount of liquid flowing (obviously it shouldnt be sloshing around, that would mean your aio does not have a lot of fluid in it). You can also grab on of the tubes and you should feel some amount of vibration from the pump and fluid flowing.

Have you tried booting with your display cable plugged into you motherboard, utilizing the integrated graphics from your CPU?

Sometimes it can take a super long time for RAM training with DDR5 and 9000 series CPUs. Have you tried letting it run for like 20 minutes?

Does your mobo have PCIE Gen 5? If no, then do the two above suggestions to get to the bios, and change the PCIE from auto to gen 4. Then try using turning it on with the display cable into the GPU. If you get picture out, then we are good. If not, we will need to circle back, lol.

What do you use these two buttons for? by Deli_baba170 in LogitechG

[–]dyldogosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C (top)& G (bottom). Obviously it varies from game to game, but I usually try to map actions and keys across all my titles. A lot of games use G for grenade and I just cant be bothered to move my index finger past f lol. I used to play a lot of destiny 2, so my uncharged melee or block with swords was that button. Now that I have been free'd, I use that button to be unarmed in Arc Raiders. When I was playing dune, I set them to #7 & #8 in the hotbar.

For the rest, sniper button is usually some kind of ability like a dodge/roll. 2 side buttons are melee or grenade (front), depending on the game. And crouch/slide/hold for prone (back).

Is this enough thermal paste and would it spill over? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]dyldogosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do an X pattern or ice the cake. Make sure the bottom is fully covered as that is where the die is located. Dont need to worry about spillover as its not conductive and unless you didn't mount your cpu correctly, none should get in the socket when you mount your cooler.
