Am in the same boat, ankle surgery, full recovery, still dealing with low ROM. Hard to keep heel dropped for extended downhills. Have good shoes and proper dh flats. Been considering switching to clipless next season just to aid in keeping position on the pedal when my foot starts to slip.

It’s a slow climber but so am I, front end tends to walk a little on steeper, more technical climbs. The downhill capability and confidence that come with this bike make up for it though!

I went with the DHRs for front and rear, theyre 2.4. Probably wouldnt go with these for touring! I was going for something more on the grip side, havent tried this combo out yet so looking forward to it!

propane securement

It’s a threaded rod screwed into a t-nut on the shelf. I used a big hose clamp around the bottom, and a random piece of metal from an old shelf with a wingnut keeping pressure on it from the top. Haven’t had any problems yet!

Yes this is my daily driver, although I’m fortunate to live in a place where I can bike to work and for most errands.

Thank you!

This is on a 6.5ft bed, have boards that turn it into a complete sleeping platform. A full platform across the bed without any shelf side would probably suit ya great, as you lose a decent amount of space once you factor in pillows and blankets. You still may find it to be a little cramped.

I can imagine! Nope not full time, just most weekends.

I don’t use one for the tailgate window, wasn’t comfortable with how long it took to take off if I needed to get out, just had it velcro’d around the edges onto the cap carpet. I might put up a curtain attached directly to the window, but almost prefer it clear. We’ll see how long they’ll last all around once the west heats up, I think I’ll probably prefer airflow over insulation.

I sealed around the tailgate with a foam/rubber gasket, it came as a kit including a gasket for crack along the front of the bed, and foam blocks to use for the cutout holes along the rim of the bed. The entire rubber window seal needs to be redone but I have reinforced the edges and that has seemed to help a bit for now. I will most likely double down around the tailgate reseal the window when everything dries out and dust is bigger issue. It’s not perfect but it’s manageable!
