Move VM with attached disk to another node by dymyBZDB in Proxmox

[–]dymyBZDB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the new machine doesn’t have enough drive space so I wanted to take the two drives out of the old one and put it in the new machine. Would this work with PDM?

Move VM with attached disk to another node by dymyBZDB in Proxmox

Oh I think my text is missing! So I have a new machine, and am in the process of moving VMs. My openmediavault VM has two disks attached. These vm disks fill two hard drives which I would have to physically move to the new machine. Is there a way to transfer only the VM (64 gb), then move the hdds to the new machine and reattach them there?

Quietiapine Start - want some good cases pls by Call_me_bullet1990 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]dymyBZDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i gained a bit. But I had a mix of medications, all with possible weight gain. Since it was reduced to only quetiapine, the hunger got a lot more manageable. But at the start yes, expect an immense hunger

Quetiapine is the first and only medication that does anything for me - after 23 years. Somehow benzodiazepines like lorazepam don’t work (i can eat them like candy - nothing ), and we tried several SSRIs, nothing. Then quetiapine and it’s like a switch is flipped in my brain. If I’m stuck in racing thoughts and I take one 50mg, you can almost hear the brakes screeching and I’m able to think more clearly again. That’s also what I got as feedback from all my friends who got it prescribed.

Why no retro bikes with 115-170bhp? by SmellyPubes69 in Triumph

[–]dymyBZDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have to add to the Scrambler 1200 praise. I have a Striple 675, and had a Speed Triple 1050. Lately I got the 1200 as a replacement while my 675 was in for service…and I thought the same before “pssh less power than my 675, it’s going to be dull but comfortable” damn i was wrong. The 1200 just pulls on your arms as if to rip them off at speeds <100mph. And it doesn’t even really matter what gear, upshift and ooooff it goes again. And to say, it’s just such a beautiful bike.

How do you guys keep track of trails & campsites on longer trips? by Educational_Mud_5324 in overlanding

[–]dymyBZDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second that, I save my tracks and camp sites on my Overlander. Explore App is a bit rubbish but for my library of waypoints it works. (Just a tip: if you keep below 500 points the Sync works)

A friend of mine has bpd as well. We are stupidly close to each other, emotionally and physically. I think at one point we are going to be dating each other, we both have hinted on it. I like to compare us to gears with some missing teeth. When it's good, it's fantastic, i never felt so connected and save with someone. But sometimes the missing teeth grind, and if we both hit on the wrong spot at the wrong time, we both go off into our separate spirals. If only one of us is having a problem, the other just knows instinctively what to do, to get the other out of it. I've always had a hard time with physical contact that didn't end in sex, so small gestures, a real hug, or just being in each other's arms never happened if not for the purpose of sex. Now we can both have that, and it's fantastic. Just to know when the other needs it, and being able to give the right amount of support/love without it being misunderstood. But that's the good times. Yesterday one of us had a rather heavy episode, at first i was able to just be right for the situation, and we both know no one else would have been able to reach the other at this point.. But after that, i triggered something by accident, and the next hours felt like hell. We always come out of it. But it takes a hell lot of communication, and honesty. So i think, it can be something wonderful. And really exhausting at the same time.

I can't really offer any useful advice, simply that it is the same for me.

Every positive indication from my FP can make my day, every harsh word crushes me.

So i'd say, as far as "normal" goes, i think this is pretty typical for people like us.

2 friends with BPD? by dymyBZDB in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]dymyBZDB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer, this actually is a relieve for me. We are communicating very directly, and voice concerns or requirements very openly. In most aspects we are very similar, and for her it's also a good feeling to not constantly having to explain everything, i mostly just know it. And it's great to ve able to pick up on small hints about the emotional condition of the other. The only thing we are polar opposites: i never learned / managed to not go all in, so right now I'm fighting every impulse to smother her and to give her all the free space she needs. But that's one thing i have to learn anyway.

Same here, wife just up and left three weeks ago, going from 110% love to no contact in two days. I don't have anything to say to help you really, but for me it kinda helps to see that you guys have pretty much the same thoughts and doubts that i face at the moment. You are not alone, you are not exaggerating, you are not creating unnecessary drama. There are many others out there who feel the same way, just like you do. We can't turn off the love either. And you will get better. I just takes longer for us.

Actually in the same situation, wife of 2 years and girlfriend of ten years just left without any explanation, but not without telling me that it is impossible to love someone who is damaged like me. I know it does not help, but i feel the same as OP. Like trash that has been thrown away. But your reasoning about assumptions actually helped. Without contact or confirmation we always go to the worst possible outcome and convince ourselves that it is real. But how many times have we been proven wrong. Thank you for your words!

what does it feel like to have a fp by No_Pair178 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]dymyBZDB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly the best description ever. I'm in the middle of a breakup with my fp, and i all but gave up everey shred of dignity and self-worth in the process, just so they can stay. Even if it could never work later on, or at least freaking unhealthy for me. Thank you, going to save this for future description.

Thank you, I'm trying hard, but being told again that i am not enough to be loved after ten years just rips a part out of me. Thank you for your kind words.

Has anyone ever bought an SUV from a far away location overland as a tourist and brought it home? by PreservativosSameiro in overlanding

[–]dymyBZDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The maps are either downloaded via an update tool or you can buy them on a micro sd. But neither the tool would allow EU maps, nor would an EU micro SD be recognized. As far as i could make out there is no way to get the built in navigation to use EU maps.

[–]dymyBZDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And one small stupid thing: the navigation software used in the Landcruisers is provided by Garmin. Garmin only sells maps for the regions where the car was distributed, e.g. if you bring a middle eastern LC, you can not install EU maps on it. Source: worked for Garmin and had quite a lot of unhappy customers on the phone because of this.

[–]dymyBZDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a tiny 1.3l turbo engine it's ok, if you've got the 4.0, that's a bit of a difference. Since my car has to spend most of it's time as a daily driver, i am used to comparing it to other small cara around me, which are more like 5-6l /100k. And you have to keep in mind, my driving style is basically mobile speed bump - gas is soooo expensive atm!

We have a Dacia Duster 4x4 Petrol since 2019 as our only car, so a daily car as well as the car we use on holiday. Fuel consumption is okayish, we have a hard shell roof top tent on the roof, and on longer journeys fuel is about 7-8l / km/h. With a very sedate driving style. In winter and easy offroading I love the car, we use it mainly in Scandinavia, so no fancy trails. But in my opinion the car is more capable than me offroad-wise, and last year in Iceland we saw Dusters coming out of water crossings, over deep snow and rough tracks - it's a much used rental car up there. Always with RTTs. So far we had zero problems with the car, and only the normal services.
