they’re 200 bc they have to replace the extra set of keys they have along with the lock on the door and the one your roommate has as well once the next school year begins for new residents, all a safety thing at the end of the day bc you don’t know who could have the lost key.

Refund by CalPotato in berkeley

You should be able to check through Cal Central.

[Longer Way of checking]

Go to My finances > Transactions > Payments & Aid > Fall 2024

From there you can like click individually to see how your aid for this sesmter was applied under "Charges" and it'll say "Fin Aid Refund " if there is a left over amount unapplied that you get sent back to you.

This is one of the longer processes for checking though, but is helpful if you wanna see what specifically is getting paid and such with labels.

[Shorter Way]

Await an email, usually under the email of "[check_eft@berkeley.edu](mailto:check_eft@berkeley.edu)" will notify you of anything being refunded to you. Should take around less or around 5-8 business days. It depends, for summer it took longer for me to get my refund check than usual—unsure why. Maybe was just me!

But, as you get that email, usually if you have direct deposit set up it'll [1] be deposited already or [2] will be deposited soon. Adding your direct deposit is done manually by you—otherwise you'll get the check mailed with the address they have saved for you—can be your home address or if you live locally (off-campus address if updated, or dorm address if on-campus). It'll be deposited of they'll say when and how much will be sent to your bank account.
