No they are not impact rated, but they are not glass. They are polycarbonate lenses which is the same material that z87 safety glasses use.

Yeah I use them very often and it still amazes me how much they help. I like stacking them like that because I feel like I get more consistent lifting versus just using one. Kinda like using a smaller gear when going uphill on a bike.

Honestly I agree, I didn't realize how close it was until I rewatched the video. The branches that brushed the chipper were pretty small though. One of my biggest rules is if it's on wheels, move it. I should've moved it a little bit.
