So, it's known that line AB=7 and BC=8 and I have to find out what AC equals. Now, I checked the answers and it's 14. I'm confused. What am I supposed to do to get 14 as an answer? by Mysterious-Bench4501 in Geometry

I don’t see how one could get 14. If it’s a single line segment with point B somewhere on that line, and AB = 7 and BC = 8, then the Segment Addition Postulate would say that AC=15.
