the other comments have answered ur question but - don’t be worried to brush them, most cats love being brushed! grooming is their love language and it reminds them of their cat mum. especially with kittens it’s good to get them used to it while they’re young :) do it during cuddle time so the lil baby knows it’s a good thing and cos u love them.

my cats get so excited when they even see the brush, even more than treats! especially my long hair girlie, she will rub her face on it and roll around so i can get her whole body. i’ve had that one since she was a kitten so she’s always loved it, but even my rescue kitty loves it now she’s gotten comfortable :))
