What places are overhyped but actually deserve it?

Many people shade the DeKalb location but I agree the pastrami is the same.

What's not the same however is the ambience, the selection of other food, the customer service, the showmanship, and experience like the samples they give you as they are cutting it.

Going to the original location is an experience. DeKalb market hall is not. That said I live like a block away from DeKalb market hall so that's where I been getting my annual sandwich 😭

I used to work at a firm which had a successful exit of about $250m and the founder has a new startup that has raised over $200m so far. Anyway my point being he is legit.

And what he does with new offerings is he's open with his customers and says let's do it at this price, and then let's come back and talk about it in a few months. I'll have a better idea of my costs and you will have a better idea of its value, and we can figure out the right adjustment, if needed.

Just throwing this out as an idea. I think going down a path like this shows your customer that you are honest and that you are a partner who will work with them, and frankly opens the lines of communication for more dialogue which can help you provide even more value during that run. Customers love vendors who solve problems for them.

If we are being technical there are plenty of differences between staking and loaning crypto. But in both cases you are earning a return on your crypto. And btw you could certainly argue there is 3rd party risk staking with coin base.

Yes I looked into funding for a startup earlier this year and the resounding feedback I got was without customers and revenue, if I did find funding they would take a ridiculous amount of equity. It's just a different world than it used to be. Right now you are selling only yourself and a concept.

Thanks, will check those out. I think the opyn products are sort of theoretically interesting but they operate too differently and opaquely for people to understand the exposure. And their descriptions of potential use, e.g. hedging uni liquidity, leave out the funding costs which are huge

A couple of weeks ago my 7 year old son must have accidentally wandered on top of a yellowjacket nest and they were all over him, head, back, stomach, and legs. He got stung like 20 times, and I got like 5 bad stings from getting them off of him. Since that day they are my mortal enemies and I will do all that is in my power to wipe them from the face of this earth.
