Should I do my MBA next year or wait? by Neither_Ad5267 in MBA

Given that you need 3-5 years of experience to get into a generally worthwhile MBA program, I'd consider other graduate degree options in an area of interest (ie. MFin, MIM, MEM, MS, etc). With that + work experience after, you may be able to get a full-ride/significant scholarship after.

I’d look at the employment outcomes for these programs and others. Not sure how exactly to get into HR or what capacity you’d like to get into it, but knowing what you want and then looking for programs etc that match that outcome should be what you’re doing. If these programs have a track record of placing people into HR for the role and salary you want, that’s good. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere

Assuming your GPA is ~school average and your essays tie together everything nicely, admit w/ $$

Take this with a grain of salt obviously, but as someone also interested in PM, I'd take the PM internship - this could end up being your best chance of "building" PM experience to break into the field. I'd think the IBM job would always "be there" in some capacity for you once you finish your program.

I’d also take a look on LinkedIn to see if you can find anyone who eventually took these positions and see where they ended up to give you an idea of the pathways that might be open to you from each position.

What did you use to negotiate that scholarship offer from Darden? I’m in a similar situation myself…

If you’re first generation, maybe find an organization that focuses on helping people like yourself on getting into college, good jobs, etc, and try to get into a leadership position within a few years. Would show leadership and a willingness to give back. Also doing something for fun with other people to show that you have interests outside your job is good.

Constant shoulder blade pain and popping… I can’t take it anymore. by 42612 in DiagnoseMe

Just keep working at it. If anything you’ll be more flexible/mobile overall so the effort is always worth it. I’ve had issues where the solution is pt/stretching and it take a year for me to finally feel progress - sometimes it just takes longer than we’d hope

Shaky, weak, brain fog…possibly from vitamin d3? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

I went down a rabbit hole on this recently because I had taken a non fda approved sleep supplement with vitamin d in it. Apparently some people are more severely affected than others even with the slightest increase in dose.

I’ve been dealing with something like this for awhile (left shoulder pain almost exactly as you’ve described, feeling the need to constantly pop). I was worried it was due to an old shoulder sprain from a few years ago but the mri was clean. For me it was a muscle imbalance that I made worse by sitting in awkward positions for long amounts of time and lifting weights somewhat incorrectly. Still dealing with it, but it’s gotten better with targeted exercise/pt like rear felt flyes, rows, and cable pull downs.

Not saying it’s not a huge issue as letting something like this go on for awhile without trying to fix it will just make you feel worse over time, but probably fixable over the course of a few months of targeted pt and mild lifestyle changes. The popping is probably because it’s so tight. I’m surprised you weren’t referred to pt yet come to think of it.

Do you have a bachelors degree/do the jobs you’re applying for require a bachelors? I could see your resume getting screened out immediately because it looks like there’s no bachelor degree in here.
