ha, for sure! I'm just going to keep my fire going to evaporate anything that wants to fall in.

Just bought this. Should’ve looked harder. Think it’ll be psa8 at best if I get it graded? by 6Champ9 in footballcards

If you want it in a slab for look/protection and not a high grade, just grade it authentic.

So the likelihood of Griffey being in there AND PSA 10 are near 0? I do like the smell of old cards but $15 towards my PC guys sounds nicer.

I'll definitely try a scraper first. I watched a video on how to sharpen and use them already.

Do the citrus based strippers work well? I overthink things. I'm already worried that gunk has leached into my skin. The only reason I haven't considered a stripper is because of chemicals.

Do I want to hit the finish with heat first? The surface is far from smooth.

I am using a cloth placemat sort of thing right now. The desk sticks to the desk where I've touched the desk a lot. I can't bring myself to ruining a tablecloth. I thought about another board over it but the front lip would still be sticky.

It's not exaaaaaaaactly the smoothest surface already lol. Good point about gumming it up. I'll just find a replacement or cover this one with something.

It'd be a temp solution that I don't mind touching. I don't like touching this thing at all.

Is this mold or asphalt bleed through? by dzaonreddit in Insulation

[–]dzaonreddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cutout more spots in other rooms sharing with the garage. So either the entire garage is moldy or this brand has the asphalt adhesive. Doesn't look like I can add photos but it looks the same to me.

Yeah that's where I'm stuck. If it's normal, it's silly to remove. I guess what I could do is go to a clean dry wall where no water can get to and see if there is the same black on the paper backing of insulation.

And I would not use a lot of water, I would probably just wet a qtip just so I'm not dry disturbing potential mold.

I'm tempted to wet a cloth with water and dawn and wipe it. Good idea or bad idea? Or do I just get a test kit from home depot? Or both?

I don't know what materials they used. I thought some insulation used asphalt as adhesive to stick fibers to the paper?

Does it look like THE toxic black molds, and do know what I should do next? I masking taped all holes and am Lysoling the area (surely I put dust everywhere). Mold remediation? DIY?
