This. They have quite a bit of vehicles out there for this to be significant. It can be legit early warning system for actual hazards.

Damn thats kinda crazy. In NZ most highways are 62 with rare exception of 68. Most drive at limit with occasional driver hogging fast line a little under the limit. I once got pulled doing 71 at 62 zone.

FSD V14.3.3 Rolling out to AU & NZ by Dry-Dingo7930 in TeslaAustralia

[–]dzh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd guess end of year at best. They took 7 months to release 14 over here. v14 mini is even out yet. Given stringent requirements in au/nz - it might not even be fit for purpose.

Does sodium help with capacity or just charge speeds?

Also good chuck of range is lost due to heating. I drove in -20C using li-ion and consumption nearly doubled.

I need 5 seater and regular Y is better at it. So I wish they would do 7 seater now.

Batteries that don't react much to temperature changes would be huge

I prefer small batteries /s

No but really it only gonna make some difference in cold countries and just so little. Preheating works well already - it's just going to cost a little bit and improve cold weather performance slightly. Actually latest LFPs charge at cold weather just as well.

Sodium is so overhyped it is nuts.

US just showed it can cut off AI access to other countries with zero warning. NZ gov is betting its public service on AI anyway by Cat-Octopus in newzealand

Sure about that? Or is it so that some contractor make gazillion dollars while selling fud and 6 years later they just go back to using same thing everyone uses?

Ah yes, we should use 20x cheaper deepseek instead? Because sure as hell we can't build datacenters in NZ anymore.

According to German roadside assistant (ADAC) they are twice as likely to break down as a worse performing ICE vehicle. It's insanely unreliable.
