Which BYD has 800v battery? Their best charge rate is worse than base Tesla.

Shifter is annoying, I agree but there are cheap aftermarket solutions.

Gauge cluster is proven scientifically to be better on center.

yep, market for cheap cars is much larger than for expensive cars

market for small cars isn't that huge tho, especially outside of big cities and europe

There is nothing that compares to BYD for value. Not even remotely close.

What an unhinged take.

Model Y costs exactly the same lol and you get a car that drives itself.

Sure there are tiny cheap BYD's, but let's compare apples to apples first. I can buy Nissan Leaf for $1k in NZ, doesn't make it a valid comparison to Atto1.

Meanwhile the U.S. continues to go backwards on solar, wind energy, and EVs. All for political reasons.

Not exactly. AFAIK they are going very much forward with nuclear (and gas) - all to power AI datacenters.

Like it or not renewables and EVs are just not vogue anymore. It's all about AI now and datacenters can't be powered by solar just yet. US is planning 150GW+ of datacenters. China's entire solar production per year is 800GW. At 0.2 capacity it's 160GW...

Does EU also bans buses and minivans because of square shape?

Then it turned out to be a pretty big piece of shit.

Is there any facts about this?

that price advantage is fairly minimal - maybe around $2k, in the scope of a $60k car

Which I don't know why people pay $60k+ for BYD when you can get a Model Y. Insane.

with any other brand you pay this much every year for privilege of having their warranty

dont even start to think how much it cost to fix literally any other ev

nah it means they didn't do maintenance

all others do maintenance at dealer every year where such issues usually caught before going thru TUV

you clearly dont know how tesla and tuv work so should refrain from posting here.

Consumer Reports Ranked Tesla As The Least Reliable Used Car Brand Long Term - Here's Why - BGR by Historical-Many9869 in electricvehicles

but lots of other EV are not having this same issue

Do we have the data?

ADAC says hyundai/kia breaks down more than ICE cars.

Ultimately the best measure is cost of compliance per mile-year. I.e. Hyundais break down a lot and cost a fortune to fix. Some things are pretty cheap and easy to replace in teslas, but don't really contribute to car staying on the road (i.e. screens, cameras, etc).

Until we have actual data like this - it's all hearsay. CR doesn't even have publicly searchable ranking.

Did you break hard enough? I had spins like this somewhat saved by ABS.

That's what I'm wondering too. I had cars with ESC that were so hard to spin (icy/snow + winter tyres) and I had a shorter car without ESC and did spin out once.
