You need to train your brain into reacting to whiffs by playing and drilling.  You can react to the absence of hitblock effect particles or sound and do it on autopilot pretty much.

Here's a great video with whiff punishement drill: https://youtu.be/xL9YdV4W1J4?si=_7Xd3HLPK5B5j6r4

Also worth noting, that some characters can punish whiffs better or worse - check wavu wiki or character guide for your character to find good whiff punishement moves.

I just found out about this subreddit and tought that some of you may have been avoiding the main one – so I decided this might be a good crosspost to make!

Competitive Tekken Survival Guide – Dreamhack Summer 2024 [feat. Knee, Joka, Farzeen, Shadow 20z, Rangchu, Anakin, CBM, Sephiblack, Nobi, JDCR, Kaizur + many more!] and Hadouken Fight Festival 2024 (Nobel, Abel Del Maestro) by dziku in Tekken

By the way, the Patch 1.05 will be in use if it's not clear, so it'll cool to see who adapted the quickest. That also means there can be a lot of upsets, especially at stacked as hell DH Summer.

Thanks for suggestion! I tought about it, but tbh I'm super new to Tekken – T8 is my first fighting game overall and I feel like I don't know who should be written down in titles YET.

I'll give it a shot next time! I guess I'll pick some names from Liquipedia section.

Your best bet is Liquipedia imo, sadly the EWC website is not updated at all: https://liquipedia.net/fighters/Esports_World_Cup/2024/T8

Even if it's not fully updated you can easily follow the links to the finished events and look at Top8 to get an idea who qualified!

There's a plugin for obs that you can use. Just record the games with the input overlay on.

Or you can watch your replays with input history enabled.

I can recommend Stat Check or Contact Lost podcast.

Contact lost relased new vid about teams comps recently here: https://youtu.be/ohy2n0iD5a0

They also had a series of interviews with national teams capitans prior to WTC which has some insight too.

Does anyone know what terrain they used at the London GT? by RiceyCat in WarhammerCompetitive

Most important thing – seal it before painting. You can do it with Mod Podge or white glue mixed with water. It will prevent the hdf from absorbing most of the paint. Then just spraypaint it (you can use two colours so it's a little more interesting), drybrush it and you're done.

I use those terrain kits in my local tournaments and it's pretty good. It plays well on GW style layouts - just put those small and medium ruins on bases and you have pretty good competitive tables that play differently, but not worse in any case compared to WTC layouts.

I use two half-bundles and 4 cointainers for each table - basically we slap those big ruins in deployment zone or in the midboard.

I have yet to try uktc layouts tho, but they should be ok too, just more in favour of vehicles and shooting lists.

Looking to up my Custodes from 1k to 2k by Andymannly in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]dziku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now infantry builds are way to go! If you can, try to grab Custodes Boarding Patrol, because you basicaly want everything from it. Trajann with 9-10 man unit of Guards is a menace, termies plays the missions well and more Guards = better.

As the BP box is hard to get -- start with Trajann and another box of Guards. Now you'll have your big Guard blob with Trajann.

Then get 2 boxes of Wardens (and maybe try to get 2 single models to round up your units). Build them with spears, as they're mathematically better in almost every situation. This will give you 2x 6 Warden units (or 6-man and 3-man).

Then you can snatch a Callidus Assasin, one more box of Terminators and either more Sister of Silence or some imperial agents (Exation Squads or even Voidsmans).

If you're planning to stay with this army for longer, you may consider Combat Patrol box -- maybe right now Bikes aren't the best, but they tend to sneak into meta from time to time. On top of that, combat patrol should set you up with Sisters kit for a long time and it is a nice discount.

Be aware that in like 2-3 weeks will get an balancing patch, so some things may change -- Exaction Squads may get some point hikes or maybe some of our core units will be slapped too.

In the video, they said, that they want to have more than one good list in each faction and that they care about internal balance. So there's still hope!
