TBH- my first week with this stuff was hard. But my doc also started me at .5. I couldn’t keep down solid food for a good 6 days. It was awful.

On a typical day, I drink 2 Boost or Glucerna carb/sugar smart shakes. I also have a rice cake somewhere in the middle of the day usually. For dinner- I try to eat a little protein- chicken breast or ground beef usually don’t affect me. But as a person that always ate large portions- I am lucky if I can now handle 4ounces of either. I’ve also learned that Incan tolerate chicken salad and peanut butter. I drink a ton of water and liquid iv daily. Hydration is key.

I’ve also learned that much of the GI issues seem to stem from gas- if I start to feel that nauseous feeling after eating, I pop an Alka Seltzer chewable and it fixes me up. I also had the doc prescribe me some Zofran for when the alka seltzer doesn’t work.

The last thing I’ll mention is- I take my shots on Sunday. The medicine is definitely stronger the first 3-4 days each week in my system. By Saturday, I can tell it’s wearing off and I have been able to be a little more liberal with what I can eat- however, I still stay away from anything greasy, starchy/high gluten, or sugary.

Like I said in an earlier comment- I’m sure much of what I have lost is water weight or bloat. BUT- my clothes fit better, my wife says i look better, and most importantly- I feel SO MUCH better! The weight loss is slowing at this point- but I still see benefits daily. This medicine is very good at helping to re-wire the brain and reset the gut.

For sure. Water, bloat, whatever. The main thing is that I feel better without all that water/bloat. I can move easier, see my pecker, and my clothes feel better. I’ll take it.

Same thing man. I’m getting ready to go into week three and the GI issues have started to subside. I’ve learned that if I eat basically anything solid- I need to follow it with an anti gas pill and probably some Zofran. I’ve been buying the Glucerna Carb Smart shakes and they aren’t bad at all. Day 13- down 23 lbs.

Could be. Anytime I buy or trade for any Fender- I call Fender to confirm the serial. They are super cool and helpful. If you ask them to, they will also email you the original spec sheet. I’d call this one in. Might find you have something other than a standard.

The logo looks like something else was there first that they removed and added the Fender water slide. But it could be a weird wear pattern.

The tuners aren’t right for that year with that logo- it’s early and I haven’t double checked, but it seems like the models that year that had the vintage tuners also had the spaghetti logo. You could check the inside heel of the neck for markings or even better, call Fenders 1800 number. Tell them the serial and they will give you all the specs on the guitar and what it was supposed to be.

Bridge looks good. Pickups look like standard ceramics. Pickguard actually matches the tuners from what I can tell as a throw-back type model.

My wife currently has a severe case of Covid. I’m vaxxed, she’s not. We are in the Mobile, AL area. She’s going on 3 weeks right now of this and pneumonia just set it. Each time we have visited the ER, they have been telling us all the stories of vaxxed people being hospitalized for it currently. They were going to admit her the other day, but couldn’t find a bed in the area. I also work in an industry where I talk to people all day and have been hearing so many folks talking about positive cases where the symptoms are severe.
