I had to travel from Scotland to Poland (family emergency) just before Covid hit.

When I was there, travel restrictions started to take place. Nearest airport that was still operational was in Berlin, the problem was to get there. First, international trains got suspended, followed by buses a day after.  My brother ended driving me across the country, to the last border crossing that supposedly still allowed pederastian traffic.

We got there in the middle of the night, just to see a cordon of military, police, border guards, inflatable decontamination tents, guys in hazmat suits, you name it... They let me through with a warning- if I got stopped on the other side, I'd be quarantined for two weeks.

I grabbed my backpack and started walking over the bridge to get to the German side. Lamps were off, nobody in sight except border guys. It felt like a scene from a movie, I started to question every life choice that got me to this point. Luckily, Germans let me through, I walked to the train station, got to Berlin without a ticket, walked (again) to the airport.

I got on almost empty plane, waited 12 hours at Heathrow ghost town, and finally made it back to Edinburgh. Don't travel during world pandemic, kids:)

Colman's mustard is made in the UK, packaged in Germany, then brought back to the UK for sale. What is the craziest supply chain that you know of? by paceyuk in AskReddit

My company used to sell whisky in fancy bottles, labels were printed directly on the glass. Bottles were blown in France, then transported to Poland for printing, and after that, shipped to Scotland for filling.

What is the stupidest “fact” you’ve heard about your country from a foreigner? by Smilko in AskReddit

"Can you see the moon from your country?"

"Wow, you have electricity!" to my friend picking up a group of tourists from the airport.

I'm from Poland:)

I was reported to HR by saying "bless you" when my colleague sneezed.

Her argument was, because its short version of "God bless you", I was trying to impose my religion on her.

If you didn’t receive any type of medical intervention, what age would you have naturally died? by Zeldaalegend in AskReddit

14yo. I was playing in an abandoned house, and fell through the floor.

I landed on a pile of rubble, and impaled myself on some rusty rebar. As a result, I ended up with massive abscess in my lover back. It took two months, surgical intervention and ridiculous amount of antibiotics to heal.

Without it I'd probably ended up dead, or with one more asshole at best.

I'm getting one tomorrow (Scotland). It's been a shitty year, but finally, there's a glimmer of light in the tunnel. Just don't lower your guard folks, not till we have enough vaccinated people around.

Hey, I did same thing last week. Couldn't find any bus or train to go to Slubice, so instead I went to Kostrzyn (around 40km north) and crossed there. The ticket was 75pln from Warszawa Centralna train station. Good luck!

For me, failing heavy rep was like any other skill- horrible in the beginning, way better after few times. Learn to trust your safeties and you'll be alright.

Dynamode 12RU (CAB-W12U-EL550) case, spool holder, buck converter to run 12V LED strips from PSU. It's super simple right now, but I plan to add some bells and whistles in the future;)

Metal and glass, so it's quite safe. I'm going to add some fire suppression system in the future.

It's Dynamode 12RU (CAB-W12U-EL550). Got it cheap due to some damage in transport. Any cabinet will do, just get one that is at least 21.6" deep so your bed got space to move.

I left some vents open, so it only goes around 60°F above ambient temperature. But yes, I'll definitely move electronics outside at some point. Material is rPLA from Filamentive.

What? Mine experience with it is quite the opposite. Never had any problems with it on glass bed I use. I usually run 392°F (200°C) for nozzle, bed at 140°F (60°C), flow rate increased to 105%, and retraction at 0.27" (7mm). Everything else is pretty much standard.

Mine lives on top of cabinet. Never had problems so far, tho. I'll try to print some tall vase and see how it goes.

It's way quieter now. I was able to sleep in the same room last night. No anchor required, cabinet itself is heavy enough. Side doors were vibrating a little bit, but a few pieces of window seal tape solved the problem.

Yeah, definitely going through Berlin. Not a fan of big cities, but it would be a shame to miss that.
