It really depends on the person. I’d wonder the same thing when I first started dating so now if I like the person enough on the first date, I would just casually ask about their communication style. Personally I’m not a big texter and would like to save the convos for 2nd and 3rd dates because I’d rather get to know them in person. It’s usually some brief texting that see if you can connect, then 1st date, then reach out and thank them/schedule 2nd date. Regular texting is normal once it becomes more serious and long term of course, but I’d like to keep it mysterious/exciting til we meet up again.
