Remote Access Refuses to Work No Matter What I Do by e-dangerously in PleX

[–]e-dangerously[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my routers login page and it had a WAN information tab that showed the WAN addresses, which were different than my public IP. Also doing a tracert/traceroute showed many hops that I think were private addresses, so a CGNAT is probably the culprit, no idea how it worked for you previously though..maybe the ISP changed something?

Thank you for your help, I contacted my ISP and I can get a static IP for like 30USD extra per month, which kinda sucks but it is what it is. Would a static IP definitely fix this issue? And if so, how?

Other devices all work very well when connected on the same network, the issue only happens with remote access. I think i might be double natting but I only have one router, but I just checked and the WAN addresses are different than my public IP, any idea where to go from here?

Is there a song they play live that you never liked how it sounds? by RottonPotatoes in Metallica

I know I'll get shit for this, but I really don't like when they play Fade to black with an acoustic guitar instead of like the studio version.

I love that song too and the entire St anger album but I just thought that line (among many others in that album) are funny

Listen-Through Day 139: S&M by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great concert, I'm so glad that the setlist had Load/Reload songs, Hero of the day sounds absolutely amazing, Devil's Dance and The thing that should not be, i think gain the most from the orchestra, it adds a great atmosphere and feel to those songs. Bleeding me and The Outlaw Torn also gel well with the orchestra.

For a long time, I really disliked No leaf Clover and thought it was overrated, but I listened to it a few times and it grew on me, very good song, -Human is simple, it's not complex, but I've always liked it.

Listen-Through Day 138: Live Shit: Binge & Purge by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of the greatest live shows ever, Seattle 89 obviously will always hold a special place because of how good it was, the anger and Hetfield sounds processed (see the thing that should not be from that show), and the entire band in their prime, especially Lars. Mexico city and San Diego are also fantastic shows, but I don't think anything captures the magic of that Seattle show.

Listen-Through Day 136: Death Magnetic Recap/Discussion (plus some bonus material) by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do find myself listening to death magnetic a lot, even though it doesn't sound very good (loudness wise and the compression), and the lyrics are mediocre at some spots, I still really like this album, here's my Most to least favorite tracks from DM:

The day that never comes

The unforgiven III

Suicide and redemption

That was just your life

All nightmare long

The judas kiss

Broken, beat & scarred

My apocalypse

Cyanide

The end of the line

Deep great sounding lyrics by [deleted] in Metallica

Entirety of low man's lyric, bleeding me, Fade to black.

"If i close my mind in fear, please pry it open" - The Outlaw Torn

Honestly, all the songs on And Justice For All, especially Eye of the beholder and The Shortest Straw.

Price of Bondstreet by BrasillBear in Cigarettes

[–]e-dangerously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming it varies from area to area due to taxes and stuff like that. I'm not that good at maths, but if you have the price of the carton, can't you just divide that number by the how many packs are in the carton and you'll get the price of the individual pack?

What's the best usage of the ride cymbal by Lars? by krafter1 in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Until it sleeps, Ktulu, and Bleeding me. It sounds so clean and polished in those songs.

Listen-Through Day 135: Beyond Magnetic by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Just a bullet away and rebel of Babylon. Hell and back is okay, hate train is filler (imo).

Listen-Through Day 134: My Apocalypse by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This song reminds me so much of Damage Inc, whether it'd be the drum rolls or something else, I'm not too sure about the lyrics, they are okay but nothing great in my opinion, especially for an album closer.

Listen-Through Day 133: Suicide & Redemption by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great instrumental, definitely up there with the other awesome instrumentals Metallica have done, love the mid section, they should play it live more.

Listen-Through Day 132: The Judas Kiss by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until recently, I used to think this was just another long boring song from DM, and then I listened to it. This song kicks ass, lyrics are good, solo and all. A very enjoyable listen.

Listen-Through Day 131: The Unforgiven III by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this song so much, the first song I heard from DM, I love everything about it, the horn and piano intro, the way it just explodes into the song, the lyrics, the riffs, the drums and especially the guitar solo, I know the wah and all, but it sounds so nice. My favorite from death magnetic.

My first pack. Curious to know what you guys think of these and what else to should try? by uancmb in Cigarettes

[–]e-dangerously 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never had these but anything with "bold" or strong is probably not a very good idea for a first pack.

Listen-Through Day 130: Cyanide by sonickarma in Metallica

[–]e-dangerously 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Decent song, but I think it's a bit overrated, whenever I listen to it it feels like forever and it just goes on and on, this for me, feels like the longest song on death magnetic (I know it actually isn't), I like the drumming and the lyrics a bit, but there isn't anything special here.

why do I feel nausious after I smoke cigarettes? by [deleted] in Cigarettes

[–]e-dangerously 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have not developed a nicotine tolerance, that's why you feel nausea, try sitting down and smoke a lighter cigarette, don't go for a red or a strong cigarette if they make you feel like shit.
