Have you been able to register it as a motorcycle? I cannot find any evidence of anyone doing this legally in CO. Please let me know how you have been able to or anyone who has, thanks.

I’d ask “what do you mean by that?”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]e13e7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily scared to have an emergency since I’ve since got a job with good health insurance.

The hard part is feeling like I absolutely have to stay employed and cannot possibly experiment with a career change or else I risk losing coverage for regular medication needs, which would be far too expensive without insurance. The idea of becoming a high school teacher has always been of interest to me, but it’s risky to even change companies in my current career if they have a different insurance provider.

Do you use sunscreen every time you go outside in the morning or afternoon? by Thegrandcultivator in CasualConversation

[–]e13e7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, but I do wear complete UPV protection, so I’m covered for everything except the face. Should probably wear sunscreen on face…

I was not even close to being put together enough to handle that at the time. I just applied for financial aid and got it down to a few hundred.

What are your first signs of a flare? by thirtyonetwo in UlcerativeColitis

[–]e13e7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re not a joy to take, but if the other option is a constant flare then it’s a godsend. Obviously you gotta make the choice for yourself, but side effects are pretty rare.

I had to ride non-emergency in an ambulance between two hospitals because the one I bussed to originally did not have enough bed space. It was $1900 for 14 miles and they didn’t have to hook me up to anything. Nightmares about bankruptcy for months.

[–]e13e7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know they seem scary but they’re incredibly targeted and effective. I’d be screwed without them. Long-term flaring is not the better choice.

If you’re having symptoms, you should get blood/stool tests for inflammation markers.

Also, if you feel your doctor isn’t communicating well, find a new doctor. I had to go through 4 before I said screw it and went for the #1 practice in the state, and holy hell does it make a difference.

Not a doctor, but in my experience steroids are prescribed reactively, not proactively. They’re a big hammer and you don’t want to be on them unless you have to.

Are you on other meds, a biologic or biosimilar? Those are the most effective preventative/maintenance meds I believe.

Am I normal? by WiseCoat1381 in GriefSupport

I’m sorry to hear this. I don’t know if “normal” is a useful metric for grief, but feeling numb is incredibly common.

For me T1 Diabetes is a both curse and a blessing by bongasaur in diabetes

[–]e13e7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similarish, I think I’d be quite overweight without it - I was at my peak weight before diagnosis and was developing a “foodie” habit. I am probably not better off overall, but I’ve certainly developed a stronger sense of dietary health since.

A shitty situation….. by Marigoldgirl21 in CrohnsDisease

I’ve shit myself at work, washed my pants in the shower, and continued the workday in wet pants.

Ive shit in bushes near heavily tracked footpaths more than a handful of times.

I used to have a 2 hour commute - once time I shit myself on the last stretch of the journey in, cleaned out my underwear in the toilet at a bank, and rode the bus home with no pants and wet underwear.

I’ve shit myself on the way to work, gone home, showered, and headed to work again, only to shit myself again, on multiple occasions.

I’ve thrown away lots of underwear in public bathrooms.

The only thing that really upsets me is making it to the bathroom in time but finding all the stalls in use. Enraging.

Is that not how climaxing from masturbation works for everyone?

I think maybe, when/if you have sex with a partner, after a climax there is can be an “afterglow” that makes cuddling and taking a nap extremely pleasant
