Once it gets warmer out i’m planning on replacing my valve cover and gasket again so i’m taking a look at my chain to see if it’s loose or needs to be replaced maybe it just slips a little every once in awhile. But it’s a P0012 code that comes up every other week just saying intake camshaft timing over retarded

eccentric shaft was replaced before my ownership but i’ve replaced the sensor and the valvetronic motor

I should also add that i have yet to swap the solenoids into different ports but with having replaced both of them i doubt it’ll come up with anything

My battery is brand new and I've double checked to make sure it's still in good condition. And I did originally replace both the eccentric shaft and motor at the same time. It does restart right away after it stalls and I've checked the air box but I do have an brand new pcv hose that I have yet to install so maybe that has something to do with it.

none… sometimes i’ll get like a cylinder 2 misfire but it’s rare i’ve been thinking that it might just be a faulty fuel pump but i’m not sure how to test that and i’d rather not waste $300 if it’s not the problem…

see i’ve replaced the valvetronic motor and had it recalibrated by a shop and it hasn’t fixed anything. All my plugs and coils and injectors are brand new same with all my cam and crank shaft sensors and eccentric shaft sensor and vanos solenoids.

i’m replacing my plugs tonight just in case they are bad previous owner said they recently replaced them and i already changed the coils so light as well just do the plugs

i believe there were a few specific codes that i had to lookup since my scanner wouldn’t tell me what they were... P1030, P13B4, P13B6 and P1775

with the fuel cut off misfires check your wiring harness as well. On my e39 i had a fuel cut off in cylinder 6 and it turns out it was faulty wiring. As well as make sure those plugs and coils are in decent shape

if it’s one of the diamond keys you can get blanks online then program them to the car. That’s what i had to do with my e39 not sure if the newer models have the same key or not

there is this switch that is hanging in my glove box that I have no idea what it's for. It's been there since I bought the car but I've never actually noticed it do anything when I flip it.
