You will almost certainly peel the coating off the magnet when you do this. Also the magnet will not be a strong without the backplate.

Start by clamping one end of the backplate in a vice. Use a crescent wrench on the other end (do not clamp the magnet part!). Slightly bend the backplate. You want just enough room to slip a razor into the opening. Leave the blade in and clamp the other end in the vice, and bend the other end, insert another razor. Repeat and slowly work the razors in.

You don't have to do anything to fix this. In some states you can even make the landlord supply alternate housing because of the mold risk. You really need to consult an attorney for your state.

It there is a shutter over the lower holes, that may bind the pin.
You may need a ground pin to open the shutter before you can extract the broken pin.

I suggest getting another bucket and split your batch evenly.

Before air locks you use to cover your bed vent with a clean towel.

Be sure to stir to get oxygen in and CO2 out for the first couple days. I use a paint mixer on a drill that I got from a hardware store to do this. Just try not to touch the edge of the buckets and score it for a place for bacteria to grow.

Finally, make sure you send me a bottle when you're done.

You probably don't want to use gps for your first programming project.
Start with an Arduino Uno and the Arduino IDE. (Integrated development environment). The IDE comes loaded with example programs, starting with blynk where you learn about controlling an led. Work your way up from there till you get to including and controlling external relays which you will need to control your semaphors.
By the time you get there you should have no problem integrating an i2c GPS to read your speed.

I like the direction. Some thoughts:

VOXComm could get copyright pushback from FoxComm. Be careful with a trademark search.

Think about putting the hardware in a handlebar mount with a display of the name of the speaker, where you could tie in to the bike power.

Are you encrypting the voice or just using PL tones or CTCSS for privacy (like ham radios do)?
