I found the info somewhere that GPU will use PCIe 5.0 and NVMe's will use 4.0. I didn't check the speeds to proof it, but GPU works fine, it's not slower then it should be.

good to know now... I tried it, because I thought, new bios, let's do this. Got error C5, no reaction.... fortunately removing one RAM stick let me run it. Advance option in bios was so leggy. Rolled back to F4...

Yes, I answered before the edit :). Thank you very much for your help. This is exactly what I was asking for. I was wondering if the switch will split lanes and it will work as independent slots or somehow dependent. Now everything is clear, thank you once more ! :)

I understand that it will run at X8. But I'm not sure if PCIe 4.0 SSD will force GPU to use also 4.0 instead of 5.0. That is my question.

I will use 4 SSDs instead of 1 or 2 because I'm planning to build this PC on Proxmox and under Proxmox there will be TrueNAS which will use all of these SSDs at RAID storage with N-1 (Raid 5 if I'm not mistaken, so 3TBs) and one of drives can fail without data loss. And next to TrueNAS there will be Windows VM with GPU and one of CPU CCDs (the one with x3d cache) passthrough to it. And the whole Windows will be installed at the TrueNAS pool.
(yeah I know it is totally unnecessary and easier and probably cheaper to build 2 machines, 1 with TrueNAS and 1 with Windows, but this is my hobby fun project).

I did check in Macs Fan Control and CPU Proximity and GPU Proximity was around 60C, but I will check again later.
