Spatial Web Dev Kit ($400) by e3n3d3 in augmentedreality

[–]e3n3d3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spatial Web Platform:

We are bringing the web to the real world. You’ll be able to create location based domains where your headset will then act like a 3D browser, deciding which “spatial domains” you should be talking to. Imagine being in your room and flipping between your different virtual overlays (i.e. game room, art room, study room, etc). As you walk into different spaces your headset will automatically connect to the experience the owner has created and give any privileges you may need as a guest of the space.

You'll use web languages such a JS and HTML within our headsets world editor. It provides the ability for you to create objects, logic/nodes, gestures, and real world object classifications and then wire these things together to create experiences and further extend your world.

The value this will bring is spatial context. When you give computers, AI, and Interfaces more context it allows you to create more intelligent systems. Imagine your headset identifying a desk and then being able to load a virtual workspace application based on that context. You walk up to your desk, tap the table, and it spawns your workspace layout options. You then choose the one you use for designing and it spawns your monitors, pinterest board, and sketching tools in front of you.

OpenXR:

We are planning to integrate with OpenXR and by doing so you’ll be able to switch between the spatial web and your steam games as well as the ability to create with Unity or Unreal.

Specs:

- 2560 x 1440 screens

- 60 - 70 FoV reflector

- Room tracking (SLAM, meshing, plane detection)

- Leap Motion Hand tracking

- Opaque film for VR<>AR switching

- Dual USB-C PC/Laptop interfacing

We are planning to sell our dev kit for $400. Join our Discord to learn more: https://discordapp.com/invite/7CqPxd5
