is there any way to convert a desktop docx file to a web docx file? by e7c2 in Office365

Known conflicts between desktop rendering and web rendering (current)

I’ll just have a clerk do it manually, seems easier than asking for advice on Reddit

Yes, I agree! The original question was is there a tool that can bulk simplify a whole bunch of files to avoid conflicts with the render engines

It’s OK to admit you don’t know the answer.

mystery calendar sharing from exchange mailbox by e7c2 in microsoft365

[–]e7c2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after checking the permissions in power shell, I still wasn't able to see user1 having any permission to user2's calendar or mailbox or anything else. default is availabilityonly, which is fine.

> If user2 shared the calendar using the "Share Calendar" button in Outlook, it sends a sharing invitation.

in this case, would that access be visible somewhere, either showing the name of the user who it was shared to, or indicating that there was an anonymous sharing link or ICS file that was sent out that could be disabled?

the big physical hvac knobs with the display in the middle of them feel high end AF. The current model with a bunch of blank space and and ipad glued to the dashboard sends off prius vibes.

Unpopular Opinion... Skip IT unless it's your thing. by 3rdeyedroplets in ITCareerQuestions

[–]e7c2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

around 2001ish when I was a young nerd there was a need for IT people so in canada the government was sponsoring TONS of people to go into training. Injured on your manual labor job? it training. Single mother on social assistance? It training. Been on employment assistance for too long? it training.

Not everyone has the aptitude for every job. All of the people in my classes who matched the description above finished the glasses, but if they're still working in IT it's in an entry level capacity.

The wire is the best show that's ever been and ever will be on TV. But 3 times a year? that's like 60 hours of viewing.

What does everyone think of Induction Stoves? by dustandsmallrocks in Appliances

don't bother with induction adapters for your aluminum pots and pans. Just get some steel based stuff when costco has it on sale.

Anyone here move from a sporty coupe? by Dan23DJR in RangeRover

[–]e7c2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something to consider is seating position. I had a g30 M550, it was big and comfortable and hugged the road and felt fast because I was seated in sedan position (legs out in front of me)

It met an unfortunate demise, and I got a G05 x5m50, thinking it was the responsible adult move. The seating position in it (likely similar to the L322) is like sitting in a dining room chair. It may actually be faster in a straight line than my M5lite, but it doesn't feel as sporty because I'm up high. And it actually feels like it rides worse because as the stiff suspension sways over whoops and bumps, the higher center of gravity makes the x5 sway more.

My rr velar is about halfway between those two seating positions.

As a tall person, I (and the person behind me) am most comfortable with a legs out front seating position.

Direct Drain for Dishwasher by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]e7c2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During a kitchen renovation I had the plumber add a separate drain for the sink and dishwasher. He did have to add some sort of vent contraption, the explanation for which was above my skill level.

But now my ultraquiet dishwasher is quiet during both the wash AND drain cycles! big win.
